Marcus Hayes believes new Philadelphia 76er LeBron James still has two very good years of basketball in him
Transcript
00:00Well, the way that we've seen Messi and the way that we've seen Ronaldo and the way that we've seen
00:06Tom Brady, the American football player, manage the last 10 years of their careers when they hit like 31, 32,
00:16LeBron James was on the front end of that.
00:18And I would argue that he has done it better than any of them, in part because he started maybe
00:26earlier, but he's also genetically different from them. He's just a different dude. And that's no shade on Brady or
00:32Messi or Ronaldo or anybody else.
00:34But he is one of the 10 best players, 15 best players in the NBA. And I would argue the
00:40competition's a little stiffer than in most sports because of the skill set you have to have.
00:46That said, yeah, I really do. If he can play 60 to 65 games in the regular season and then
00:54sort of manage his way through the postseason, I believe he has two very good years in him.
01:00And he's probably still a top 20 player, which, again, is astonishing considering that he's over 40.
