00:00One sentence that millions say every day could be something the Prophet Muhammad
00:04clearly warned against. Before you say your next oath, listen to this hadith. How many times have
00:11you heard people say, I swear by my father, I swear by my mother's life, or I swear by my
00:16children? For many, these words have become a habit, but the Messenger of Allah gave a clear
00:22instruction. He said, do not swear by your forefathers. Whoever wishes to take an oath
00:27should swear only by Allah or remain silent. Sahih al-Buhari 7401. This hadith teaches us
00:33that an oath is an act of honoring and glorifying. That honor belongs to Allah alone. The next
00:39time you are about to say, I swear by, pause for a moment. Remember the words of the Prophet
00:43sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. May Allah protect our tongues, strengthen our faith, and help
00:48us honor him alone. Ameen.
