00:10After such a roller coaster of emotions in this Tour de France, I had to wait until
00:15stage 17 and I was, yeah, I prepared very, very well.
00:21I was in the shape of my life, I think, and yeah, the first stages, the first 12 days
00:26were just horrible and I couldn't find myself, couldn't find the feeling I was hoping for
00:32and after 17 stages to take the victory, it's really one for the team that keep on believing
00:39in me.
00:42I just want to thank everybody, I was like an angry bird at the table, yeah, I just disappointed
00:48in myself, angry that I couldn't take a stage win, that I didn't find my feeling.
00:56And the team, they had to deal with it, not only the riders, the staff, it's just, yeah,
01:02this one is for them to keep on believing and just fighting back until stage 17.

01:13You went really deep to be with the Pedersen group and to battle it out for the win.
01:21Yeah, of course, this victory really cost me a few years of my life, I think, I was fighting
01:27somewhere in the middle between groups, yeah, I thought the stage was lost, but yeah, the
01:35team kept on believing, we tried to make a plan and in the end, they were super strong,
01:40the guys, and yeah, they really delivered me at the finish line.
01:44You had doubts during this Tour de France, big doubts?
01:48Of course, yeah, just doubting myself.
01:51I did everything I could before this Tour de France, we did an amazing preparation with
01:57the team, and I was just not myself.
02:01Was it because of the heat, it was really horrible, was it something else, I don't know.
02:05But it was just the fact that I was not on my level that I was hoping for.
02:11And mentally, it was a really tough rollercoaster, all the shit you get, deleting my Instagram
02:15and whatever, just trying to be with my team members in our own bubble, and yeah, just working
02:26towards the next goals.
02:28But yeah, it's always a rollercoaster of emotions, like I said, in the Tour de France in July.
02:35The bonus added to this victory is that you remain in contention for the green jersey.
