00:00Hi there, well the weather is on repeat at the moment, dry, sunny, warm pretty much every
00:05single day we've seen for most through July so far and that is the case out there this
00:09afternoon as well for the vast majority. There are some exceptions, parts of West Devon,
00:14Cornwall, well here we could see that cloud just bubble up enough to give one or two isolated
00:17but potentially quite heavy showers, even the odd rumble of thunder late this afternoon.
00:22Across the east of England as well we could see the cloud just about thick enough to bring
00:25one or two very isolated light showers mainly in coastal counties but for the vast majority
00:30it's another sunny and very warm day to come. Temperatures perhaps not quite as high though
00:35as recent days particularly on the east coast where there will be a little bit more of a
00:39northerly breeze but coming land temperatures into the low to mid-20s quite widely, 25 or 26
00:45perhaps once again across parts of South Wales and the south west but not as warm across northern
00:50Scotland here more in a way of clouds and some patchy light rain arriving later today too.
00:54But do remember that the sunshine is very strong at this time of the year. We do have widely high
00:59levels of UV possibly very high in some places so if you are out and about do remember to protect
01:04your skin from those harmful UV rays. Now those showers quickly clearing away through this evening
01:09across the south west of England but it will turn increasingly damp across northern Scotland
01:13as we go through the coming nights. Some patchy rain possibly filtering down into parts
01:17of Northern Ireland as well but for most it will stay dry lengthy clear periods perhaps one of
01:22your isolated mist and fog patches forming in the countryside and a much widely cooler night to
01:27come tonight so a much more comfortable night for sleeping. In the towns and cities temperatures
01:31generally holding up comfortably in double figures and actually in the teens celsius locally but in the
01:36countryside well we can easily see temperatures fall down to the mid single figures particularly
01:40across the Midlands parts of East Anglia where the skies stay clear so five or six degrees in some
01:47rural spots. So a fairly fresh start to the day on Monday for some of us but they won't take
01:52long
01:52for those temperatures to rise with many of us seeing once again plenty full amounts of sunshine
01:56on Monday but it will generally be a bit cloudy compared to over the weekend especially across
02:01northeast Scotland, northeast England and more especially eastern parts of England as well so
02:06there will be some sunny spells but more in a way of cloud compared to for example on Sunday.
02:11But where we do see the sunshine breakthrough once again it will turn into a very warm day. Highs of
02:1624 to 26 degrees celsius where we see the best of the sunshine but overall a somewhat cooler day
02:21compared to many recent days particularly for Northern Ireland highs in the upper teens here and
02:27generally on some North Sea coast temperatures struggling to get much above 20 degrees celsius.
02:32But nonetheless a pleasant afternoon to come for many just the odd very isolated light shower here and
02:37there and possibly some longer spells of drizzle coming into northern Scotland for a time
02:41as we go into Monday evening. But as we go through the week ahead we're not expecting to see
02:45much in the way of change. High pressure will continue to dominate through Tuesday, Wednesday and
02:50Thursday. The centre of the high will still drift away towards the southwest just allowing one or two
02:54weak weather fronts just to bring more in a way of cloud and perhaps a few spits and spots of
02:59rain
02:59to some areas by the end of the week. But we're not expecting any significant rain at this stage,
03:03possibly a chance of some more widespread showers as we go towards next weekend. But for further
