00:10This tiny creature may look harmless, but Scrat might actually be the most dangerous
00:15character in the Ice Age universe.
00:18Here are some amazing facts you probably didn't know about Scrat.
00:30His name comes from two words, squirrel plus rat equals Scrat.
00:36He is a fictional prehistoric creature created by Blue Sky Studios.
00:40But here's the crazy part.
00:43Years later, scientists discovered a real prehistoric mammal called Chronopio dentiocytus.
00:50It had a small body and surprisingly large canine teeth, making it look strangely similar
00:57to Scrat.
00:58Isn't it amazing?
01:01Scrat is absolutely obsessed with acorns.
01:05Throughout the Ice Age movies, he spends his entire life chasing a single acorn, giving
01:12us countless hilarious moments.
01:15Honestly, I just wanted to give him a giant pile of acorns and finally make his dream
01:19come true.
01:23And here's the surprising part.
01:25Real squirrels do something very similar.
01:27They collect and store large amounts of nuts for the future.
01:32Scrat is incredibly fast.
01:34He can reach speeds of around 32 kilometers per hour.
01:39That's about as fast as a real squirrel.
01:42And even faster than most ordinary people can run.
01:46No wonder he always manages to stay one step ahead of disaster.
01:53Scrat might be the most dangerous mammal ever created.
01:56Because this tiny creature somehow causes massive disasters everywhere he goes.
02:01In the first Ice Age, his acorn chase helps crack the giant ice sheet.
02:07In the second movie, he contributes to a huge flood.
02:13In the third movie, he accidentally falls into the dinosaur world.
02:17In the fourth movie, he even affects continental drift.
02:22Maybe she's the reason it keeps falling apart.
02:29Here's another fun fact.
02:31Scrat doesn't have a traditional voice actor.
02:33His unique squeaks and sounds were performed by Chris Wedge, the director of Ice Age.
02:39Who would have thought?
02:43At the end of the series, Scrat finally ate the icorn.
02:47But here's the funny twist.
02:49It wasn't as amazing as he imagined.
02:52After all that chasing, maybe the real treasure was the journey itself.
