00:00Welcome home, man.
00:03Matthew Purry will always be known for his role as Chandler Bing,
00:06and one of the six iconic Friends cast members,
00:09and rightfully so, he was fantastic.
00:12If you are bummed out like me after receiving the unfortunate news of Matthew Purry's passing,
00:16then I invite you to look back over his incredible work,
00:19in particular this one role which he doesn't receive enough recognition for.
00:24Purry starred in Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip,
00:26an Aaron Sorkin-created show that is set behind the scenes of the live sketch comedy show Studio 60.
00:32Purry plays Matt Alvey, the head writer and executive producer on the show,
00:37and honestly gives a standout performance in his career.
00:40The show also stars Sarah Paulson, Bradley Whitford, and Amanda Peet,
00:44and although it only ran for one season, it's absolutely worth it to see Purry in this role.
00:50If you're into behind-the-scenes shows like 30 Rock,
00:53and enjoy Sorkin's writing from, say, The West Wing,
00:55this is absolutely not to be missed.
