Fire burning on bridge as overnight attacks hit southern Iran

UGC IMAGES posted on social media on 16 July 2026 show a fire burning on a bridge in Iran's southern Hormozgan province near Gari Shikh. A month after the two sides agreed a memorandum of understanding aimed at ending the conflict that began in February, Iran has accused US forces of hitting civilian and energy infrastructure, including an airport, a railway station and two bridges, with state media reporting at least eight dead and 20 wounded in overnight attacks.
