00:01I've forgotten everything. What's the first word?
00:05Stage fright is one of the worst fears one experiences.
00:10I read somewhere it is intensity somewhat equivalent to the fear of being trapped in a burning house.
00:21Sounds exaggerated but that's what they say.
00:26What's so frightful about being on the stage?
00:33You are in massive company and they are not making you forget yourself.
00:40Instead they are making you more conscious of yourself.
00:43They are not friends. They are not lovers. They are judges.
00:47And you know you are being assessed, measured and that
00:55degrades the quality of your experience.
00:58You want company in which you don't have to be cautious.
01:03That every blink, every step, every pause, every syllable is being put through a scanner.
