00:06Band Alley if you're interested it's a blender cube it's an M&B cube I call it the council
00:15sleeper it's a blender cube so what's a council sleeper it's a garage you know when you've got
00:21one of those garages belong to the council yeah it's one of those so I think okay can I turn
00:27the blender cube into a garage okay okay then let's take a look let's just leave that let's go
00:34here this is how my content works just in case you're interested you go to OBJ now my files have
00:40changed just in case you don't know that and the Microsoft Windows decided to stop using the
00:47Glyph files inside of the Windows 3D Viewer they got rid of it that's what they've done so okay
00:55yeah we're doing OBJs from now on let's go to OBJs right the downloads you're going to download my file
01:03if you want it now if you want it all separate I will say click this and you import it
01:10and the
01:10whole thing is separate give it one second and you're importing that's what blend is supposed to do
01:21like that you're making me look silly okay so go here import OBJ this one I want to tell you
01:29to split it and bring it in okay
01:34as you can see you click it and you bring it in and it looks like this okay don't forget
01:39it's all separate
01:40right now of course if you don't want it all separate I'm just going to show you that okay you
01:45will want it separate if you're going to animate the door so you you can do it two different ways

01:51you you can bring it in and you can tell Blender to split the whole object right so let's just

01:58that let's bring it in we want to click the door because we don't want the door part of the

02:04because we want the door separate right so you go here you export the door export as an OBJ just

02:12go in here I'll mix up a new file I'm going to call it door okay that's what I'm going

02:20and I'll save that I don't need that and I'll just save the door now what I'm going to do
02:27I want to get
02:27rid of that okay this just leaves the building and the lights okay you can leave the lights separate as
02:33well if you want to your own personal preference okay go back here export export the rest of the
02:39building okay so I'm going to put G on that for garage and I'm going to say yeah I'll get
02:46rid of it
02:47now if you watch my content now if you bring it in this time it comes in two parts right
02:53one is the
02:54building I don't need to split it if I tell it to split it now it will split the building
03:00the door frame
03:01and the lights okay I don't need to split it so import it as you can see by the look
03:08of it we've only got
03:09a door right so okay go here import import the G which is the garage there you go there's the
03:18door
03:19there's the garage inside are your lights no pretty great did it work what do you mean do they work
03:26of
03:26course they work yeah as you open the garage door and the lights will turn on and if you want
03:33them to
03:34turn on but of course in order to turn the lights on it's up to you how you're going to
03:39go about animating
03:40the door turn around click on the door and I've made I've made this tool in a different kind of
03:47way I want
03:48the door to go animate this way into the concrete so you can't actually physically see the door frame
03:55so the car drives straight over the door frame of course you can have the bit you can have the
04:02door
04:02frame go up if you want to you can have it go up out the ceiling or you can have
04:07it you know like
04:08them roller doors the ones that roll that roll on the garage that roll onto the ceiling yeah you can
04:13have
04:14something like that if you want to I'll say for noise easy plain simplicity red bandani yes you come along
04:22and when you work out how to trigger the door yes the animation will play and you go
04:29and of course you can enter the building and of course if you don't find out to open it
04:35you can't access the building now how do I how do I know it's an MLB cube
04:40or a blender cube I'll show you if you bring in a blender cube turn it to the side and
04:47as I say turn
04:48on snapping and you can just snap it to the top right you want to snap it to where the
04:53building is
04:54you can snap the building to where that is as you see it fits inside a blender cube absolutely perfect
05:01it's for nice easy simple design let's say you're kind of young and you want to kind of build your
05:06assets
05:07yes you're just going to turn around look at the situation and I want one building let's say there
05:13I want to copy the cube
05:17of course I don't have to copy just the cube I can copy the building and I can paste that
05:22one over here
05:25and then if I want to copy the garage and at all I can just copy those
05:29and then of course I can make a new foil I can stick them inside there I can grab them
05:34and I can
05:34next garage to there and you can see I'm slowly now making up a garage that looks like the council
05:42property of course there's my garages what are these now they could be rooms for each garage so maybe this
05:50garage has got this room maybe this garage has got this room or maybe this garage has got both rooms
05:58and maybe this garage is not a garage maybe it's the hallway maybe it goes down to somewhere else
06:07ah I said it's got pretty great potential it depends on how you want to go about doing the content
06:12so if you're interested in the council blender garage the MRB cube the red bandani garage however
06:20you want to look at it however you want to word it as I said it all works absolutely perfectly
06:25fine
06:25perfectly great so again a personal preference how do you want to do it as I said if you want
06:34to split
06:34and separate the garage I'll just get rid of the garage I'll show you so okay the garage is in
06:39two parts
06:39right so you go here and you import you import the OBJ okay here it is two parts the G
06:48is the garage
06:49if you go to split the garage and say yes look the garage is split now the lights are separate
06:57you say well why would you want the lights separate well you might want the lights separate because they
07:01might accidentally fall off the ceiling so you can click on it that's that you can send the geometry to
07:08that
07:08and you might want to put those down on the floor somewhere because maybe they fell off
07:15and then you grab the light and of course yeah with the light again you can send it back to
07:20geometry
07:20and you can put the light on the floor as well and of course if you're going to do that
07:27I recommend that you actually smash the light so it smashes all over the floor
07:32and again later on I'll show you how to basically go about smashing the objects just in case you want
07:39to smash the objects and as I said the lights themselves might not be on the ceiling they might
07:46be on the floor they might be down there like that I've only put them on the ceiling so they're
07:51actually
07:51out of the way but as I said it's your own personal preference and if you bring the whole building
07:56in
07:56so you don't split it don't split it don't get rid of this file here this file it goes with
08:03this file
08:04and this one goes with this one you say well what actually is that file that file
08:09that file right there that's the color of your model that's what it is
08:15it's also your copyright for your model and just just load the model don't split it and let's bring
08:21it in there you go that's all you have to do in Red Bandai and then of course you can
08:26put the door
08:27ring the door so if you want a pair of those you select them you go here apply transforms you
08:34select the door hold control close on the keyboard press the garage here and go parent and parent object
08:42now of course if i click the garage i can move absolutely everything and of course if i click
08:49the door i can just move the door and of course if you want to put the lights separate so
08:56you can move
08:56the lights separate then of course you can do that stay safe and friendly enjoy your download and i hope
