00:08His request shows a pending status on the Office of the Pardon Attorney's website.
00:11Kelly was sentenced, you may remember, to 30 years in prison for various sex crimes.
00:15In 2022, he was convicted here in Chicago, that was on child pornography charges,
00:20and then convicted of sex traffic and racketeering in New York in 2021.
00:24He's now serving his prison sentence in North Carolina.
00:26If his sentence is not commuted, Kelly is expected to be released in 2045 when he's nearly 79 years old.
