00:00Today is the day in which we begin the gathering of the Triveneto of the Alpini
00:06with the Sindaco of Gemona, Roberto Revellant.
00:10You have met Sergio Mattarella, Giorgio Meloni, the Vigili of the Fuoco,
00:14the Giro d'Italia, for a year certainly intense.
00:17But today is a special day for you,
00:20the relationship with the Alpini and the city of Gemona is very strettful,
00:23it's almost a fonte of emotions.
00:27So, what is your thoughts about today and the three days that you expect?
00:32I think that all of Italy is always united to the Alpini,
00:37but this land, the Friuli and Gemona, have a much more profound thoughts,
00:43I believe, especially after the 6th of May of 1976.
00:47Here 29 Alpini were in service, very young,
00:51and they were not able to enjoy the life that I expected.
00:57Here, unfortunately, happened this disaster,
01:00they were victims of something that was not programmable,
01:02but immediately all of the Alpini intervened
01:05to try to save the first operation of the Soccorso here in Casero,
01:10but also in our community.
01:11And that day, until the complete reconstruction,
01:15they did not leave us,
01:17they reacted immediately,
01:18they contributed to the reconstruction of the Friuli
01:20and therefore, all of our community,
01:22and our population,
01:23they wanted to express a lot of thanks to those who gave us a hand.
01:28Today is the turn of the Alpini,
01:30before, as I said,
01:32there were other organizations that have wanted to participate,
01:36and there will also be others in the second part of the year.
01:39I want to say thank you all for what we have received.
01:42If you permit me to go over the institution,
01:45if you permit me,
01:46I think it's been a year really full of emotions,
01:49from Gemonese,
01:51from a person who lived in the past,
01:56human beings,
01:57what does it mean for you this year,
01:59seeing the people of Gemona,
02:01the people,
02:02guiding the administration?
02:05I think two things.
02:06The first one,
02:08Ivano Benvenuti,
02:09who has 3 or 3 years,
02:10tomorrow he found a city
02:12with almost 400 victims,
02:15so I try to remember him
02:18before anything,
02:19to understand that all the difficulties
02:20that we can meet today
02:22are nothing compared to that moment.
02:24The second thing I want to say is
02:27that I want to say
02:28a lot of thanks to all my collaborators
02:29of the Giunta,
02:30to all my collaborators,
02:32to all the community,
02:33to all the community,
02:34that have contributed in these months
02:37to all these activities,
02:39because they have transferred
02:41the mass of trust in what they did
02:43and have been changed
02:44with all the events of great quality.
02:46So I want to say a lot of thanks,
02:48because it is a lot
02:49that we need to express
02:50a lot of gratitude
02:51not only from the Senate,
02:52but from our community,
02:53because everything is done
02:54through the best
02:55thanks to their work
02:56and their dedication.
