00:04He was barking, snapping, trying to bite.

00:21because scared dogs bite just as much as aggressive ones.
00:25It's just all about making sure the dog is captured
00:28and there's no risk of it running out in front of cars
00:32or diverting attention to another person.
00:40I got him backed up into a corner.
00:43He started being less aggressive and being more just scared.
00:48And once I got him on the pole, he started to fight the pole.
00:51But he was never directing attention back at me.
00:54He just felt threatened by the pole that was restricting him.
01:02I don't really feel scared.
01:03Even if there's a dog that's just super aggressive trying to kill me,
01:08it's never the dog's fault.
01:09You're almost losing it there, bud.
01:11The dogs are only ever in that situation
01:14because they were neglected, abused, or they were just born feral.
01:19I noticed his behavior had shifted a little.
01:23He wasn't as forward aggressive with me.
01:26So I figured he was probably going to change significantly during that time.
01:32It was very hot that day, so I had the AC running in the kettles
01:36and he cooled down a lot.
01:40By the time I got back to the shelter,
01:42he had just totally switched around.
01:44He was this super sweet dog.
01:46He was actually put on the list for euthanasia
01:49because no one wanted to adopt him
01:51and he'd been there for so long.
01:53I was so mad that he was even on that list.
01:56I was like, this is stupid.
01:57There's no reason for that.
01:59I made a whole bunch of Facebook posts and everything like,
02:02hey, who wants this dog?
02:04He's super sweet.
02:06Come on.
02:07Boop, boop, boop.
02:08And I actually found someone
02:10who came in and adopted him after that.
02:12We did it, buddy.
