00:08At least 51 people have died after days of torrential monsoon rain caused flooding
00:14and left more than 1 million people stranded, the country's Disaster Management Agency said Sunday.
00:20Many of the fatalities were caused by landslides in the hilly districts,
00:25while others were linked to flash floods rushing down from higher ground.
00:30As floodwaters began to recede slightly on Sunday afternoon,
00:34residents like Sikiyo Marma returned to assess the situation.
00:42He said his furniture and property has been damaged, and he has had little to eat since he's been gone.
00:48He called the situation very bad and said he would appreciate any help from the outside.
