00:01Minions and Monsters is in cinemas right now, so we thought we'd take a look at the best movies about
00:06the movies.
00:07Josh, what movie are you going to bring for us today?
00:09Ed Wood, my friend. My favourite Tim Burton movie. It is about the real-life director Ed Wood,
00:15who was notorious for making terrible films, but it's not a movie that really talks fun.
00:22It's a movie that just cherishes the passion of filmmakers. It's a send up for all creativity.
00:28It's about passion. It's about how difficult it is to be a creative in general.
00:33It's a real riot. I love it. Some of my favourite performances in there.
00:36Hell yeah. Going from something that's kind of uplifting and championing the art of cinema in all its forms,
00:41we're going to go for something a little bit more depressing, a little bit more scathing,
00:44and that is Robert Altman's The Player, starring Tim Robbins and written by Michael Tonkin.
00:49An absolutely scathing look into the underbelly of what was then modern Hollywood.
00:54Super creepy in places as well. Tim Robbins, oh my god, he's so good in that movie.
00:57And on top of that, Sunset Boulevard. If you're looking for a movie about just the golden age of Hollywood
01:02and all the tragedy that came between the different eras of silent filmmaking going into the talky era,
01:08Sunset Boulevard, noir movie about the movies. Fantastic.
01:12Can't get any better than that apart from maybe. Minions and monsters.
01:16Just maybe. Banana.
01:18And we're going to shoot what's going on behind the scenes.
01:19I have to shoot!
