00:00So yeah, I think that was a big part of my musical journey and it makes me very proud to
00:05represent the Philippines.
00:11So much to expect. Today we're going to have amazing acts like Potter, Subtronics,
00:19and I think we have over 100 different artists going to play across three different stages.
00:24You have obviously main stage in the co, we have the club stage, and then you have the garden stage.
00:28So there's lots to expect, lots of genre of music. In fact, people told us that this is probably the
00:35most diverse lineup we've had for End Friends to date.
00:38So it's an incredible joy for me to be amongst all of these great artists for the next few days.
00:45So I think we have actually grown a fair bit. So this time around we are actually getting co-promoted
00:51by
00:52Creation Collective that does a lot of the regional touring for Fradegan,
00:57Baby Jade, you know, they run festivals in S2O, like in S2O Australia, they just did AS&T as well.
01:05So, you know, definitely the goal is to look at different forms of expansion.
01:10Some people have suggested for us to do La Boracay in May.
01:15I'm flying out to Boracay on Sunday to check Boracay out, so that might be one possible expansion.
01:22Singapore is home for me and obviously a bunch of folks in Singapore.
01:26We've had a lot of interest from folks in Singapore to bring End Friends there as well,
01:31so that's potentially another option as well.
01:34And we are also definitely looking to do more like headliner shows in the Philippines and
01:39co-promote with other promoters and organizers as well. So many things to look forward to.
01:45We are here to make Manila and the Philippines happening and we'll continue to bring great
01:50artists, like a lot of these people here, to the Philippines and to Asia.
01:56I'm super excited because I'm Filipino, uh, American, and this is the first time I'll be playing in the Motherland,
02:03er, in here, uh, and my whole family's coming out, so that's what I'm most excited about,
02:10because you Filipinos have a lot of family and half of them just don't get a chance to see me,
02:16so that's what I'm most excited about.
02:17So my family in Japan is here and my family in the Philippines are also here,
02:32so I'm really excited to showcase, uh, in this, uh, recording in front of them.
02:36Uh, I'm super stoked. It's my first time here. Uh, incredibly honored to be here. Um,
02:42professionally blown away that dubstep allows me to travel across to the other side of the earth
02:47to play my songs, um, so really excited, um, and yeah, can't wait.
02:52My mom is Filipino, but I grew up, uh, most of my life in Australia, but, you know,
02:58we were part of the Filipino community and whenever we would see our family, you know,
03:02it's always karaoke, it's always, um, sharing food together, it's always like this big community
03:08kind of event, um, and I definitely think that did shape, you know, being around music a lot
03:14as I was growing up. I even used to sing when I was younger as well, you know, I think
03:20as all,
03:20like, Filipino kids do. Um, so yeah, I think that was a big part of my musical journey and it
03:28makes
03:28me very proud, um, to represent the Philippines. I think when I first started DJing 10 years ago,
03:35there wasn't really, like, big Filipino artists that I knew of, at least, you know, that I could look up
03:41to,
03:41and it does feel like more recently, especially, there's a lot more, um, Filipino, even just like
03:48Asian artists who are, uh, you know, becoming larger and becoming inspirational for other people,
03:55and I really hope that I can be inspirational to other Filipinos and other Asians as well.
04:11I'll see you next time.
