00:02U.S. President Donald Trump said the U.S. plans to provide Ukraine with license to produce U.S.-made
00:08Patriot air defense interceptors. Trump was speaking alongside Ukrainian President Volodymyr
00:13Zelensky at the NATO summit in Ankara. Kiev has repeatedly requested these long-range air defense
00:19missiles to protect its cities and energy grid from Russian strikes. We'll show them how to do
00:24it. It's very complex, actually. But you'll figure out the complexity quickly. And we're
00:31talking about that. And the company that makes them, which is building now four plants, you
00:37know, all of our companies will be able to do this in two to three months if you order
00:41a Patriot. Now you have to wait a long time. Trump said the idea of licensed production
00:47in Ukraine will deflect criticism that Washington is not supplying enough high-end air defense
00:52systems. We're going to give a license to you to make Patriots. That's pretty cool,
00:58right? This way you can't complain that we're not giving them enough. I say, make them yourself.
01:04We haven't informed the company of that yet, but that'll work out all right. Sure, they'll
01:09be thrilled. Patriots are manufactured in the U.S. by Raytheon and Lockheed Martin. But
01:16the U.S. and Israel's war on Iran has depleted almost a third of the global stockpile of Patriot
01:21Interceptors.
