01:18After showing up on the 19th agro-processing unit, the GRC-Zenger has been working on a block in a
01:26block.
01:26I am the National Social Safety Net Coordinating Office in Abuja, Nigeria.
01:34We are here from Nigeria to India to get an experience, to share our experiences
01:41and also learn from how India has excelled in their adaptive social protection.
01:49We are also here in the state of Itaradash, to learn about livelihoods and social protection.
01:59It is good to see the amazing work the government of India is doing
02:03because social protection goes beyond, you know, we have the cash transfer office.
02:08I think our advocacy has always been that social protection goes beyond cash transfers,
02:14giving people just cash transfers.
02:17We have to be able to see that the money that they are getting, the cash that they are getting,
02:22they also turn it into livelihood. That is what makes it sustainable.
02:25So it is good to see everything that we have seen here and we know that everything we have learnt
02:30here
02:30will take it back to Nigeria to be able to better the lives of our people. Thank you.
02:35My name is Dr. Olubisi Fashui and I am the Deputy Chief Consultant of Supreme Management Training and Consultancy Services
02:42from Nigeria.
02:43So I am coordinating this program on adaptive social protection on behalf of the government of Nigeria.
02:49And of course the projects that are here are the people in charge of social protection in Nigeria.
02:56And why are we here? It is not like in Nigeria we are not practicing social protection.
03:01We are practicing social protection and we are doing very well.
03:04But we have been told that because of the similarity between Nigeria and India.
03:10stuff is not like in Nigeria.
03:10So for example...
