Ukraine brands IOC move to lift ban on Russian athletes 'premature' and 'unjustified'

Russian athletes looking to return to international competition will now be able to compete as long as they "meet relevant anti-doping requirements," the IOC said.

00:19In a statement, Ukraine's National Olympic Committee said it strongly disagrees with the decision,
00:25calling it premature and unjustified while Russia continues its full-scale invasion of the country.
00:32Russia's Olympic Committee has been suspended in 2023 amid Moscow's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
00:38But the IOC said that following a thorough analysis, it had determined that a ban was no longer applicable.
00:46A decision has yet to be made on whether Russia can display its flag or colors
00:50or play its anthem at the Olympic Games.
00:52The IOC did add that it would not organize events in Russia or invite Russian officials to its events.
