00:00Three men have been arrested for allegedly intercepting and assaulting a family travelling
00:04in a car on the Bengaluru-Maisuru expressway in a suspected case of road rage.
00:08The incident occurred at around 10.30pm on 5th July near Madhur in Madhya district and
00:13was captured on the dashcam of a vehicle travelling behind the victims.
00:16The victim, identified as Sagar, a Bengaluru resident who was travelling with his wife,
00:21children and an elderly woman when a group of men allegedly stopped their car in the
00:25middle of the highway, surrounded the vehicle, dragged him and physically assaulted him on the road.
00:30Police say the violence was triggered after Sagar's car allegedly brushed against another
00:35vehicle amid heavy traffic, leading to an argument that quickly spiralled into a brutal assault.
00:40Sagar, who sustained injuries in the attack, later filed a complaint, following which a
00:44case was registered at the Madhur police station.
00:47Three accused are now in custody, while police teams have been formed to trace the remaining
00:51suspects who fled after the assault.
