00:07my favorite shift was ethical fish biodiversity assessment where we fish off the boat and usually
00:13we catch pajama sharks puff adders and i caught a saunter
00:20hi my favorite shift at oceans research is the intertidal biodiversity survey because it teaches
00:26me a lot about how diverse the tide pools at south africa really are
00:33my favorite part of the month was working with go dives to get my advanced dive certification
00:37and while i was earning that i got to do a baited dive and swim with puff adders and pajama
00:41sharks
00:44so my favorite shift is tide pooling because there's a lot of creatures there i always thought
00:49that it was just the rocks but when you really look at them there's so many of them
00:55my favorite shift at oceans research is ethical fish biodiversity assessment
00:59because we learn a lot about the endemic sharks of south africa like the pajama shark and the leopard
01:05cat shark my favorite shift is the when we do the white shark population survey mainly because we
01:13get the chance to see great white sharks but also over the years there was a loss of great white
01:17sharks in the area and it's really good to see that they've come back into the bay
01:24okay my favorite shift is tide pooling because as you come to the beach you first you see nothing
01:32and then when you look closer then you can see like there's so much biodiversity there's so much to see
01:39so that's really cool
01:43one of our shifts is the white shark population survey where we learn to identify different
01:47individuals based on different qualities like pigment on their dorsal fins uh any cuts or scars or
01:54anti-agent
