Thousands swarm the streets of Tirana in major 'Pink Flamingo' anti-government protests

Protesters chanted slogans and carried slogans reading "Albania is not for sale" as they protested PM Edi Rama on his 62nd birthday for protests opposing a holiday resort project linked to the Trump family in a protected area in a southwestern part of the country.

00:07The protests, which began in early May as an environmental demonstration against the construction of a luxury hotel complex by

00:34Saturday's demonstration in Tirana is considered the largest since the protests began.
00:39Thousands of citizens holding giant pink flamingos, the symbol of the protest, personally targeted Prime Minister Eddie Rama,
00:46chanting slogans and waving a giant cement-colored cake during the rally which coincided with his birthday.
00:53Subsequently, a group of protestors broke away from the main march and headed towards the police station,
01:00where the 19 people arrested during Thursday's demonstrations near the parliament building are being held.
