00:01Good evening, America. If you think that was easy, it wasn't.
00:09And I want to thank everybody because they did the right thing.
00:13They saw lightning and I said there's no way if we have to speak in front of one person at
00:194 o'clock in the morning, I'm going to be here.
00:21There's no way we can be deterred.
00:27And they estimated they had 375,000 people before.
00:32Everybody had to leave.
00:34And they now have 150,000 people.
00:37It's the craziest thing anyone's ever seen.
00:41At least.
00:43And I want to just thank you and I feel so badly about some people.
00:47They left and they couldn't get back.
00:49But you're very special people.
00:51And we have a very special country.
00:54Thank you very much.
00:58Tonight we come together for one of the most joyous and glorious milestones of all time.
01:04And you know what that is, 250, the 250th anniversary.
01:08And I do have to say this.
01:10One of my very brilliant people backstage said, don't worry about it, sir.
01:14We can do it maybe next week.
01:15I said it doesn't work next week.
01:18This is the big day.
01:20We want July 4th.
01:22We're not looking for July something else.
01:25Because this is the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.
01:32Nothing like it.
01:36For two and a half centuries, our American republic has stood as the crowning achievement of human history.
01:45This country is the home of freedom.
01:48This is the land of liberty.
01:51And this is a flag that's the banner of the most extraordinary, most exceptional, most incredible nation ever to exist
02:00on the face of the earth.
02:02And we're doing better now than we've ever done before.
02:09No people have done more good, shown more courage, made more progress, righted more injustice, or achieved more greatness than
02:18you, the American people.
02:21For 250 years, the United States of America has been the hope, the promise, the light, and the glory among
02:29all of the nations of the world.
02:31All over the world, they try and be like us.
02:34Nobody can be like us.
02:36And with God's help, we will always be this or even better.
02:43We're going to be better.
02:46Here on our National Mall, we're celebrating freedom's triumph over tyranny, liberty's conquest over oppression,
02:54and the enduring victory of the American spirit from the July 4th, 1776 to July 4th, 2026.
03:06Big dates.
03:07That's big dates.
03:08Two big ones.
03:09And tonight, our country is stronger, freer, richer, safer, and prouder than ever before.
03:20But it all started with the miracle of history that lives forever in the heart of every single patriot.
03:28In Philadelphia, our founding fathers summoned the courage of giants and the wisdom of centuries to boldly proclaim these timeless
03:37truths.
03:38They declared that all men are created equal.
03:45That they are endowed with sacred, unalienable rights by the hand of our Creator.
03:57And that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
04:03In signing their names to the roster of freedom, those 56 patriots put everything at risk,
04:10stepped onto the stage of destiny, and seized a victory for the ages.
04:15And that's what it was.
04:16And this is an evening for the ages, I believe.
04:18This is something very special.
04:20This is bigger than if we didn't have the lightning blaring.
04:24We had lightning blaring.
04:26But this is bigger.
04:28A little more inconvenient, but it's bigger.
04:31I think in its own way, it's more beautiful.
04:34From the beginning, we were a nation that lived by the motto,
04:38victory or death, and live free or die.
04:45One out of every 100 Americans gave their lives in the fight for independence,
04:51to remind us of who these heroes were and what they gave us.
04:56We are honored to have here tonight in the heart of our nation's capital,
05:01one of the very first American flags ever to exist.
05:05Dating back to 1777, it bears the 13 stars and 13 stripes of the 13 states that declared independence on
05:18the 4th of July.
05:25Here it is.
05:27This was the flag that flew victorious at Saratoga.
05:31And these are the real deals, too.
05:33These are the real, the real flags.
05:36These are flags that have seen a lot.
05:38These were the stars and stripes that flew triumphant when the British waved the white flag of surrender at Yorktown.
05:47That was a big surrender.
05:48Nobody thought that was possible.
05:51They were the greatest power of the world, and they surrendered, and that was the beginning.
05:56Ever since, the entire world has been on notice that Americans will never let anyone take our freedom away.
06:03Won't happen.
06:05And all these talks from the communists, they haven't got a chance.
06:09Not even a chance.
06:11We don't want communists in our country.
06:23Never worked, and it never will work.
06:27Americans must never forget that we are a historic and heroic people with a heroic spirit and a heroic purpose
06:35on this beautiful earth of ours.
06:38We are made of the courage and the fire and the flesh and the blood of the best and the
06:44bravest people this world has ever produced.
06:46We are the bravest and the best.
06:48Tonight we pledge allegiance to the flag they gave us and we say God bless the immortal patriots of 1776
06:58and long live the cause of independence.
07:06May it rain forever and ever and ever, we will always be on top.
07:12We will never let our country fall.
07:15We will always be the best.
07:17Our founders not only won our liberty, they secured it with the most righteous political document ever conceived.
07:24It's called the Constitution of the United States.
07:28Very special.
07:30And it's because of their genius that we remain the finest people on the planet after 250 years.
07:40Unlike so many others in the world, in this country we have freedom of speech, freedom of religion, equal justice
07:48under the law.
07:49Although I wasn't treated that well, but we won't get into that.
07:53And the right to keep and bear arms.
08:03And for the almost six years that I was president, I guarded very, very powerfully your Second Amendment and they
08:12didn't do a thing to it and it was not easy.
08:15But we guard your Second Amendment.
08:20We guard it very, very strongly and cautiously.
08:24Across the generations, Americans have fought, bled and died, not just to secure those, but to expand them to citizens
08:34of every race, religion, color and creed.
08:37Because we are one people.
08:40Because we are one people.
08:40We are one family.
08:42You showed that tonight.
08:43With one flag.
08:46And as our Declaration of Independence tells us, we are all made in the image of one almighty God.
09:02And a communist will not be sure.
09:07A few heroes remind us, more than William Carney, who escaped slavery to become a Union soldier in the Civil
09:16War, which was a very big, big deal at the time.
09:20But on the front of the battle, he saw a comrade struck down enemy fire while carrying the stars and
09:28stripes.
09:29And Sergeant Carney dove to the ground to keep the flag from touching the mud.
09:34He didn't want to have it touch the ground.
09:36He didn't want to have it touch the mud.
09:39He wanted it to be perfect.
09:42He raised it high above the field and was shot four times.
09:46They thought he was gone, but he kept moving forward.
09:49He loved our country.
09:50He loved our flag.
09:52Before he returned to camp and announced, boys, the old flag never touched the ground.
10:01And he became the first African-American to receive the Congressional Medal of Honor.
10:07He got the Congressional Medal of Honor.
10:10And he was the first African-American.
10:14And he was some man.
10:16He'd written stories about him.
10:18He was something special.
10:20With us tonight to celebrate this forward march of freedom is another Medal of Honor recipient, Colonel Paris Davis, whose
10:29courage won eternal glory in Vietnam.
10:33He helped lead a surprise attack on 100 enemy combatants.
10:38They said he was finished.
10:40His whole group was finished.
10:43And despite multiple life-threatening wounds, saved the lives of his fellow soldiers.
10:50And this evening, he stands to salute the only flag of its kind, the one that was draped over the
10:57casket of President Abraham Lincoln in Independence Hall.
11:03Thank you very much.
11:04Great.
11:09verdader.
11:20He's in pride.
11:25He has Jackson trabajar.
11:25He's in pride.
11:27He doesn't feel theC uncomfortable and幹嘛.
11:27He runs out there.
11:28Everyone remembers that we've won the
11:36You're forcing drivers because of their gjosses,
11:37you're worried about the chicken becoming dirt.
11:39He looks better than I do.
11:42He looks great, and he's brave.
11:46Because of heroes like these, our flag will
11:50always be a symbol of liberty and justice for all.
11:54Colonel Davis, thank you very much. Great man.
11:58Great man. Thank you.
12:02Americans expanded the blessings of freedom, and we
12:06have never stopped expanding our ambitions and our dreams.
12:11We had the American dream. We never had the
12:14American dream, however, like we have it right now. The American dream
12:18is back. Very strong. Beautiful. You know, to get
12:22into our military now is tough. Two years ago, we couldn't fill
12:26a job, and now it's overflowing. We have so many
12:30setting records. We're setting records. It's actually hard
12:34to get in. That includes
12:36our great police forces
12:38and our firemen.
12:40They couldn't hire anybody. Nobody wanted
12:42to do it. Now, it's hard
12:44to get those positions, but
12:46it's really hard to get into our military
12:48because people respect and
12:50love our country again.
12:55Our rise to being
12:56the world's strongest and most powerful
12:58nation was
13:00there's no accident of history. We
13:02rebuilt our military in my first
13:04term. We use it a little bit
13:06in our
13:08actually, I should say third term, but I won't do
13:10that because I don't want any controversy.
13:13But we use it and
13:14we've had tremendous success. You
13:16look at Venezuela. You look at
13:18Iran. We wiped it out.
13:20Wiped out their military.
13:22Americans crossed
13:24the Great Plains, scaled the Rockies,
13:26tamed the
13:28wilderness and conquered the
13:30frontier and built the
13:32empire. It's called the Empire
13:34of Liberty.
13:36We laid down the railroads,
13:38raised up the skyscrapers,
13:40those beautiful skyscrapers, and
13:42dug out the Panama Canal
13:44considered the eighth wonder
13:46of the world, which everyone
13:48said was an impossible thing to do.
13:50And by the way, 38,000
13:53Americans died to
13:54give us one of the greatest
13:56engineering feats of all time,
13:58the Panama Canal.
14:00This was the unstoppable
14:02spirit that created the world's
14:04most powerful industries
14:06and built the strongest
14:08military anyone had ever
14:10seen. And today it is
14:12stronger and more powerful
14:14than it ever was before.
14:17American grit,
14:19boldness, and daring forged
14:20heroes like Davy Crockett,
14:22Wyatt Earp,
14:24Annie Oakley, Teddy Roosevelt,
14:26and the legend of the
14:28Wild West, Buffalo
14:30Bill Cody. These were great,
14:32powerful people
14:34whose incredible grandchildren
14:37happened to be with us
14:38tonight, and they
14:40stand alongside one of the first
14:42American flags ever to fly over
14:44our expanding nation.
14:46It was carried west just as
14:48Lewis and Clark began their
14:50journey in 1803.
14:53Thank you very much.
14:55Thank you very much.
14:57Great to have you.
15:00Great to have you to honor
15:01this audacious and
15:04indomitable soul of
15:06America. We also have
15:08the first flag ever to fly over
15:10one of the greatest architectural
15:12feats of all time.
15:13A thing called the Brooklyn Bridge,
15:15one of the most beautiful bridges
15:17anywhere in the world, built a long
15:20time ago.
15:21To its right, the banner that flew atop
15:24our flagship after America's
15:25Navy sank the Spanish
15:27fleet to the bottom of the Manila Bay,
15:30one of the greatest naval victories
15:31in history. Much like our
15:34recent victory by sinking the entire
15:36Iranian Navy, 159
15:38ships to the bottom
15:39of the sea. All done in just
15:41a moment's time. Happened
15:43very quickly. We have the
15:45greatest military anywhere in the world.
15:48And next to it,
15:49we also have the flag that was given
15:51to that immortal,
15:53just a fantastic,
15:56immortal rough rider.
15:58The one and only,
15:59and I was at the museum the other day
16:01at its opening, Theodore
16:04Roosevelt, when he returned
16:06triumphant from Cuba,
16:07printed with the words,
16:09Welcome home, Colonel Roosevelt.
16:11He was the victor of
16:13San Juan Hill.
16:14He was a great gentleman.
16:17Americans won the West and built
16:19the modern world because
16:21America is a nation of winners.
16:23And today, our country is
16:25winning again, and we're winning
16:27like never before.
16:30America is back,
16:31and we want to keep America great.
16:33And we will do so by approving
16:36the Save America Act,
16:38which means all voters
16:40must show voter ID.
16:42All voters...
16:47All voters must provide
16:49a little thing called
16:51proof of citizenship.
16:56And there will be no mail-in ballots
16:58except for illness, disability,
17:00military deployment, or travel.
17:05And you won't have cheating
17:06on the elections anymore.
17:08It's very simple.
17:09Together, we are also
17:11reasserting the truth
17:12that American strength
17:14and power is not something
17:16to be ashamed of.
17:17It is something that we are very,
17:20very proud of.
17:21This country has been the greatest force
17:24for peace and justice on Earth.
17:25In the last century,
17:27we defeated tyrants,
17:29demolished evil,
17:30and saved freedom again,
17:32and again, and again.
17:35Ken Shubring was 19 years old
17:39when he survived the Japanese attack
17:41on Pearl Harbor.
17:43After enemy planes sank ships
17:45like the USS Arizona,
17:47he resolved that he would help
17:49America strike back and win.
17:52He wanted them to strike back and win.
17:55Flying B-29s in the Pacific.
17:58Ken fought from the first day
18:00to the very last.
18:03He was in the war right from the first day,
18:05and he went to the last day
18:08and all the way to the enemies.
18:11Unconditional surrender.
18:12We got an unconditional surrender.
18:15He was there at 104 years old
18:19and looking really good.
18:21Captain Shubring is here tonight,
18:24and he is saluting the flag
18:26that went down with the Arizona
18:28at Pearl Harbor,
18:29but was raised back up with the help
18:32of some unbelievable American patriots.
18:36It's a symbol of American defiance.
18:40It's a symbol of American defiance.
18:53Thank you, Captain.
18:56Thank you, Captain.
19:07Great job.
19:08Thank you very much.
19:10You have very good genes.
19:11That's his son.
19:13His son's going to be around a long time.
19:16Thank you very much, Captain.
19:17When D-Day in World War II,
19:20Navy Lieutenant Arthur Rose
19:22commanded 36 landing craft
19:25as part of the largest
19:27naval armada in history.
19:30Recalling that sight,
19:31he wrote home to his parents,
19:33what a country we are.
19:35At 107 years old,
19:40Lieutenant Rose is here to salute
19:42one of our nation's most prized possessions,
19:44the flag that flew aboard
19:46the first landing craft on D-Day
19:49and led the first Americans
19:51onto the beaches of Normandy
19:53to liberate Europe
19:55and defeat Nazi fascism forever.
20:17USA! USA! USA! USA! USA! USA! USA! USA! USA! USA!
20:27Lieutenant Rose, you are an inspiration to this beautiful crowd,
20:32and we thank you very much.
20:34Amazing men.
20:35107.
20:36It's 107.
20:40On Iwo Jima in the Pacific,
20:42the Marines faced some of the most brutal combat in the history of warfare.
20:49They shed their blood for every inch of mountain that they reached.
20:53And when they reached the summit and raised the stars and stripes for all to see,
20:58it was so special to everybody there.
21:01Everybody there and everybody watching.
21:03They couldn't believe it.
21:04It wasn't supposed to happen.
21:06With us today is one of the last survivors of that battle,
21:09101-year-old Marine Corporal Don Graves.
21:13And he's here to salute that famous flag.
21:16He saw rise in the glory of Iwo Jima 81 years ago.
21:20You've all seen that flag many times.
21:44So, ladies and gentlemen,
21:46these are the fighters and the banners of the greatest generation.
21:50They are the greatest generation.
21:52I hate to admit that, but they are.
21:55They saved the world and they made America very, very proud.
22:00We're very proud of you, heroes all.
22:03And after we vanquished fascism,
22:07Americans stood against the evil of communism in the Cold War.
22:11And as I said last night at the beautiful Mount Rushmore,
22:15what a beautiful place,
22:16where Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, and Theodore Roosevelt
22:20loomed over my shoulder as I spoke.
22:23America will never be a communist country.
22:27Won't happen.
22:30Communism is a loser, and it always will be.
22:34The communist system is the opposite of the American system,
22:38and the communist system has never worked.
22:41Our warriors did not fight communism on battlefields across the world,
22:46only to have that menace rear its ugly head right back here in America.
22:51We're not going to let it happen.
22:57We like to stop a threat like that immediately and before it begins.
23:02It's like a cancer.
23:03You got to cut it out.
23:04You got to cut it out fast.
23:07Tonight, we proudly thank veterans of the war on communism,
23:12including Marine Corporal Pat Finn and Private First Class Rudy Meekins,
23:18who fought at the famed Battle of Chosin Reservoir in Korea.
23:24That was a rough one. Thank you.
23:27Pat fought in hand-to-hand combat with the enemy.
23:35He had five against him, and he was one.
23:38And as you can see, he's around to talk about it.
23:42And Rudy was wounded four times, but never stopped shooting,
23:45and he never stopped moving forward.
23:47And also with us is veteran Sonny Ray,
23:51who fought heroically against an enemy force ten times his unit size
23:56and earned a tremendously deserved silver star.
24:03Tonight, they salute one of the very first 50-star flags
24:06to fly above the field of battle.
24:08This was about the beginning of the 50.
24:12And right next to it is one of the last flags from Checkpoint Charlie,
24:17a very famous place on the Berlin Wall,
24:19where American freedom finally brought communism crashing down to an end.
24:26Thank you so much.
24:28You are really very special.
24:34Thank you very much.
24:36The stars and stripes cast the hammer and sickle into oblivion before,
24:42and we will do it again if necessary.
24:45I don't think it's going to be necessary.
24:47I think people have learned.
24:49They've learned what to do and how to handle it,
24:52and we're going to handle it very well.
24:55So, gentlemen, I want to thank you very much.
24:57Amazing people, amazing men.
25:07How about that, huh? Isn't that great?
25:10What an honor it is to be with them.
25:12Think of it, 107.
25:15That's up there, but hopefully he's got 20 good years left.
25:22Through the generations, Americans have never stopped striving
25:28to lift humanity to new heights.
25:31In 1903, the Wright brothers from Ohio fulfilled the age-old dream of mankind to fly.
25:39That's right. They're from Ohio. Great state.
25:42And within 66 years of inventing the airplane,
25:46Americans planted our flag on the moon.
25:49Just three months ago, we sent American astronauts back to the far side of the moon,
25:55and this time they flew further from Earth than anyone has ever flown before.
26:04And here they are.
26:12So tonight, we're joined by that crew of NASA.
26:20Artemis, you know the crew, everybody.
26:25Artemis, too.
26:26And everybody watched. Isn't that amazing?
26:28They became very famous.
26:30Everybody watched.
26:31I was watching.
26:32I don't know what it was.
26:33That one got the attention of everybody.
26:36And along with the last man to walk on the moon,
26:39Apollo 17 astronaut Jack Schmidt.
26:42Thank you, Jack.
26:46You look like you could be with them, Jack.
26:48You look very good.
26:50You look very good, Jack.
26:51Thank you very much.
26:52What a job.
26:53Everybody was watching.
26:55I was with a group of people that normally wouldn't be watching,
26:58and we were having a big dinner, and they all said,
27:01we want to turn on, we want to watch Artemis II.
27:05A lot of people said, what is that?
27:06By the end of the evening, they knew.
27:08It was amazing.
27:09And along with Jared.
27:11Where is Jared?
27:12He's so great.
27:13He's running NASA.
27:14What a job he's done.
27:16So I want to thank you all.
27:18Thank you very much.
27:19Great job.
27:23So these champions of flight stand this evening beside the flag
27:27flown on the Wright Brothers airplane piloted by Orville Wright.
27:33It's the exact flag.
27:35Very historic.
27:36And they are honored to be here.
27:38They told me today they were really amazed to be here with that flag.
27:43That's a very special flag if you're in the world of flying aircraft.
27:48So congratulations to everybody.
27:50Fantastic job.
27:51Very proud of you.
27:54And I have a special gift for these patriots.
27:58This morning on America's 250th birthday,
28:01a new flag was flown above the United States Capitol.
28:05And tonight I present it to you to soon be planted by American astronauts
28:10on their upcoming return to the moon.
28:12And in addition to that, I gave them and all of the great heroes
28:17that you saw up on stage tonight,
28:19and a few others that couldn't quite make the stage,
28:22I gave them a very special medal from the White House.
28:25So it's an honor.
28:26Thank you very much, everybody.
28:28I appreciate it.
28:33So then I assume you're going to be heading to Mars, right?
28:36We're going to be going to Mars very soon.
28:39And I think that's something that we do have in mind.
28:41And we're going to do the moon, and we're going to go from there.
28:44We're going to go to Mars, and we're going to continue to be way ahead.
28:48You know, we did Space Force.
28:50That was something I was very proud of.
28:52And some people smiled.
28:54They thought it was foolish.
28:55And now they're finding it's one of the most important things that we've done.
28:59We were losing to China and to Russia in space,
29:05and now we're leading them by giant steps.
29:07And it's a great thing.
29:09And it's people like that that really, like you, that made it happen.
29:13Thank you very much, everybody.
29:14Thank you very much, Jeff.
29:17So as we celebrate America's unmatched achievements and unlimited potential,
29:22we never forget that none of this would have been possible
29:26without those who gave everything so that we could reach this 250th year of freedom.
29:31We are honored to be joined by 11 Gold Star family members.
29:36The Gold Star family, that is one of the great tributes.
29:41It's one of the great honors, a tough honor.
29:45There's nothing tougher than that.
29:47But these are amazing people.
29:49Thank you very much.
29:51Thank you very much.
29:53Come on up.
29:57They went through a lot.
30:03Thank you very much.
30:09And that special person is looking up there and looking down at mom and dad,
30:17husband, wife, but they're looking down with great pride.
30:21You know that.
30:22You know that.
30:23And we want to thank you for being here.
30:24Thank you very much.
30:25And we have medals for you backstage.
30:27I brought them.
30:28I thought I'd be handing them out about two hours ago, three hours ago.
30:32But we're going to be backstage and we have beautiful medals for you,
30:35for your family from the White House.
30:38Thank you very much, everybody.
30:39We love you.
30:42On this special 4th of July, we give you our undying gratitude and promise to redeem the sacrifice of your
30:50heroes by preserving the America that they love.
30:55They loved our country.
30:57They sacrificed.
30:58They sacrificed.
30:59They sacrificed it all.
31:00And these people have sacrificed it all.
31:02They've been through hell.
31:04We love you.
31:05Thank you very much.
31:11From 1776 to today, everywhere the American flag has flown, it has been a symbol of strength, righteousness and hope
31:20because that is who Americans are.
31:23In 1944, a mother and her daughter huddled in their house in Nazi occupied Belgium and prayed desperately for their
31:34country to be freed.
31:35They wanted freed.
31:37As they waited, they found scraps of fabric and stitched together a homemade American flag.
31:44It's beautiful, but homemade.
31:46On the day they were finally liberated, and that's what the word is, liberated, they gave it to an American
31:54soldier as a gift.
31:56Little did they know that that soldier's great grandfather was none other than the author of our Star Spangled Banner,
32:04Francis Scott Key.
32:07And tonight, the next generation of the Key family is with us.
32:17Thank you very much.
32:19Please.
32:25Major Kyle Key has spent 23 years in the U.S. Army, highly respected.
32:30And this evening, he proudly salutes the old flag that was made by the Belgian woman so beautifully, and who
32:39knew that America means hope and freedom.
32:42Congratulations, and thank you for being here very much.
32:52And in conclusion, from a declaration in Philadelphia to victory at Yorktown.
33:01From the bustling factories of the heartland to the towering snow-capped summits of Alaska.
33:09From the endless frontier of the open Wild West to the magnificent sand dunes at Kitty Hawk.
33:17From the glimmering skyline of Manhattan to the far side of the moon.
33:23You just saw that.
33:24And from the now safe and beautiful capital of Washington.
33:30Think of it.
33:32Washington, D.C., our capital.
33:35Our capital is now safe and gleaming and beautiful again.
33:39It's safe again.
33:40Went from a very unsafe place two years ago to one of the safest cities in the country.
33:46And one of the most beautiful.
33:49To the gleaming waters of the Gulf of America.
33:56There is no challenge Americans cannot overcome.
34:00There is no place we cannot go.
34:04There is no goal we cannot reach.
34:07And there is nothing that Americans cannot do.
34:11And we're proving that right now.
34:14Our stock market is the strongest it's ever been.
34:18We have $19.2 trillion being invested in our country.
34:23Which is six times more than ever happened before.
34:27We're building more factories in the United States than ever before.
34:31Everyone's 401ks are at the highest number they've ever been.
34:37And more people are working today in the United States than any time in the history of our country.
34:44But in this country we can achieve the wildest and most impossible dreams.
34:49And no dream in history is bigger or more incredible than the one that started on July 4th, 1776.
34:59The war for independence was launched by Minutemen, farmers, blacksmiths, tradesmen, who took up their muskets against the mightiest army
35:09on earth.
35:09The most powerful army, an unbeatable army, until they met us.
35:15No one made them do it.
35:18They fought because they knew that a free people must have a free country over 250 years.
35:27The mighty nations and terrible tyrants.
35:30They came and they went.
35:32But after two and a half centuries, this American republic still stands tall and strong and we love each other.
35:43That show tonight, you heard it was over.
35:47And what happened?
35:48You came back.
35:53And this American flag still waves proud and free and beautiful.
35:59We have thrived and flourished because our founders were great.
36:04Our cause was just.
36:06Our people are brave.
36:07Our culture is exceptional.
36:09And our destiny is written by God.
36:17And as we can see here tonight, after 250 years, the spirit of 1776 still lives within us all.
36:27It still roars in the hearts of our nation's capital.
36:30It still burns in the heart of every patriot.
36:34Thunders through every city and town.
36:36And it still lights the entire world with the glow of American liberty.
36:40And there is nothing like that.
36:43At 250 years old, we may be the oldest constitutional republic on earth.
36:50But our country is just getting started.
36:53Because the best is yet to come.
37:01This is only the dawn of the golden age of America.
37:05And on this 250th, 4th of July, we declared, just as they did two and a half centuries ago, that
37:14for our country and for our children and for the cause of liberty, we are going to take our country
37:20to new levels, to levels not reached.
37:23We're going to make it bigger, better, stronger.
37:27And we're going to love it even more.
37:29And I just want to thank you.
37:31And the inconvenience of lightning can do that.
37:34But lightning will never stop you.
37:37And I want to thank everybody.
37:38And we love you all.
37:39And it's an honor to be your president.
37:42God bless you all.
37:44God bless you all.
37:59God bless you all.
