00:00Hello everyone, my friend of China, the song of the year 2020.
00:06Welcome to Jacqueline Victor!
00:21I think I'm really emotional with this one, because like I said, everybody performs so so well.
00:28I think everybody who joined the competition wants to win, so I didn't expect it.
00:34So thank you so much to the jury for voting for me.
00:38I really focused on divorce in Ghana, because I already did Cheonggai.
00:43And I'm really very scared of that song, because it's a duet between a guy and a girl.
00:49And then the range become very big.
00:52But I'm so glad that I stuck with it.
00:55Until I memorize everything lah.
00:58I can do better lah.
01:00Like I said, it's a beautiful song.
01:03I think everybody knows this song.
01:06And I heard it's also very famous in China.
01:08So I attempt to do something.
01:11Because there's so many beautiful Chinese songs, I don't know which one to choose.
01:15And we saw it's also so sad up.
01:17So I don't know.
01:18I want something that is impactful.
01:20But really to touch China's heart lah.
01:25Just bring Malaysian warmth to China.
01:29Hopefully they like how I sing.
01:33Maybe my singing style is different hopefully.
01:36I think at the end of the day, you just have to do your best.
01:41I can't say that I'm confident I'm going to win or I'm not going to win.
01:45I just feel like every time we get up on stage, just try our best.
01:48To do our best.
01:50Okay girl, you better learn how to speak and read about me, okay?
01:54Must!
01:55Must!
01:55You see, one of my regrets right?
01:57Is my mum went to send me to Chinese school.
02:01It's okay lah.
02:02But it's never too late to learn.
02:03And so I think now that I have time, I really have to take it serious.
02:08She's a really, really great friend.
02:10I love her so much and I'm so proud of her.
02:12She just put home yesterday night in China.
02:14If she wants to sing with me, of course lah.
02:16Because I'm non-Chinese, non-Mandarin speaking.
02:20And for me to win this means a lot.
02:23When I go to Cheong Kuo, I can make Malaysia proud lah.
02:29So now that we don't go to China in 2026, we go to China in 2027.
02:33I really want to focus on learning Mandarin.
02:37So after this everybody speak to me Mandarin.
02:39Okay.
02:39Okay so...
02:41But...
02:43You can definitely do it!
02:45Let's do it!
