Nature can be incredibly deceptive! This video shows a fascinating example of brood parasitism underwater. When a mouthbrooding cichlid lays her eggs, a sneaky cuckoo catfish quickly swims in to eat some and replace them with her own. Unknowingly, the mother fish scoops up all the eggs to protect them in her mouth. Because the catfish eggs hatch much faster, the newborn catfish feast on the cichlid's actual babies right inside her mouth!#NatureIsCrazy #FishFacts #AnimalBehavior #Catfish #Wildlife #DidYouKnow #UnderwaterWorld
