00:00Well, whenever we try to choose a topic for any educational event, we are trying to see what is amongst
00:07the most important topics for our patients, for our colleagues within hospitals, and for the European Union in general.
00:17Lately, we have seen that most of the time our patients really have probably problematic access to their medications in
00:28terms of rare diseases, especially if it's considered to be an orphan medication, and for that we really would like
00:36to try to paint a bigger picture, both from the accessibility point of view, also from the scientific research and
00:45development point of view.
00:47And also we would like to show how hospital pharmacists can help our patients with living with rare diseases, from
00:59the point of view of clinical trials and the hospital pharmacists' involvement in clinical trials, from the clinical pharmacy point
01:07of view, so how can hospital and clinical pharmacists be a part of the construction of such therapies,
01:13and also from the provision of rare disease medications and orphan drugs.
01:20So, thank you very much.
01:22Grazie a tutti.
