00:00Acharya Ji, how do we choose a definite career path and how can we actually know our true aspirations?
00:07You came to a decision that engineering is important. How do you know engineering is important?
00:13Important for whom? Arshub Lakshmi.
00:15Arshub Lakshmi does not know where her instincts come from, where her decisions come from.
00:20There is just a general feeling, a feeling that is taken as fundamental.
00:25No, it is not fundamental. There is something prior to that feeling.
00:28And we don't go into that because our education system does not give any weightage to that.
00:33It's assumed that if you know about the world, that would suffice. How? The world is infinite.
00:38How will you decide what to go for? Life is short. Your energies are limited.
00:42Time, attention span, all kinds of resources are very limited.
00:46And the number of options in the universe are infinite, right?
00:49How do you know what to go after and whether to go after anything?
00:53How do you know? That is the more fundamental thing.
00:56So what to do? See how you operate. Observe yourself in motion.
01:00See how your decisions happen. See how thoughts arise. See how you come to like something.
01:06See how you reject something else. And when you see that, then a certain clarity emerges.
01:12It will become progressively clearer.
