00:00I'm Willa, I'm Josh, I'm Grecia, I'm Gregor Thierry, nice to meet you.
00:04Nice to meet you.
00:05Great to meet you too.
00:06At the heart of this movie are self-acceptance and the search for one's own voice.
00:16There are many young people looking for a place in this world.
00:20What would you like to tell them?
00:23Well, I think it's exactly what you just said and picked up on,
00:26so thank you for synthesizing it so well,
00:28which is to not judge people by the way they look
00:32and to be open to the idea that change can come in very unlikely ways and in unlikely forms.
00:39The idea about Lyle is that he's a conduit for change.
00:43Lyle comes into this family and without them knowing why or how,
00:48he's made little influences in each of their lives.
00:52But it took them accepting him and showing him love for him to change them,
00:57so it's really, it's a movie about love and the power of acceptance.
01:01We are often surrounded by selfishness.
01:06Lyle shows us that the best version of our set comes out with the support of family and friends.
01:16What do you think about it?
01:17Yeah, that's an important, you know, theme in the movie,
01:21and it's really represented by Javier Bardem's character,
01:25who's not a bad person but a flawed person,
01:28and he really, he sees opportunity in Lyle,
01:31and he sees money in Lyle,
01:33and he's always trying to get something with Lyle.
01:37And really, we always felt that that was why Lyle, you know,
01:41retreated and was very shy on stage,
01:43and it took the pure love of Josh, you know, his friend and of this family
01:48to really bring his gifts out.
01:51And I think that's, we think that's important, you know,
01:53I think you should do things for, you know,
01:55for purer reasons than just exploitive.
01:58This movie shows a mixed family and the panic attacks.
02:04How important is it today to, nowadays,
02:09to normalize this aspect that I often see as something to hide?
02:15I think, you know, we want it to be reflective of a modern family
02:18that have different issues that are blended,
02:21that are, you know, recovering from loss,
02:24that are adapting to change,
02:26and I think all of us experience that.
02:28So, I think we wanted to do it in a way that was pretty straightforward
02:31and that didn't shine too much of a light on it,
02:34but basically just explain that the new normal is, you know,
02:39we all come to things from different perspectives
02:42and that there shouldn't be a stigma to any of it.
02:45The show managers and Javier Bardem are truly magical on screen.
02:51What did you choose them and how did you work with them?
02:55They were both our first choices,
02:58which is very rare to get your first choice.
03:00You know, with Javier, we knew we needed an actor of his, you know,
03:06talent and of his stature,
03:08but we also knew, you know, over the years that, you know,
03:11he plays villains and he plays very dramatic roles,
03:14but he's also very funny and you could tell that he was very charming
03:17and we had heard that he had done, you know,
03:20musical, you know, work early in his career
03:24and we really wanted to see that come out of him
03:27and we were, you know, in awe of watching him.
03:32You know, he practiced for almost five months
03:34to get those musical sequences, you know, right
03:37and he showed the same dedication that he does
03:40to his dramatic roles, to this comedy role,
03:42and it was incredible.
03:44With Sean, I mean, I think, you know,
03:46Sean is a talent almost unparalleled right now
03:52and we knew we needed somebody incredibly special,
03:56a virtuoso singer.
03:58But when we talked to him, you know,
04:00he was very connected to the character.
04:03You know, he said that he related to a little bit of his shyness
04:09and which was surprising because he's such a big star
04:12and I think it was that first conversation
04:17where we realized, wow, Sean really connects to this role
04:20and we knew he'd be good in it.
04:22Have you talked about a spin-off about Javier Badren's character?
04:28I mean, I don't think Javier would be anything without Lyle
04:32or, you know, Malfoy the Rattlesnake
04:35or, I mean, I think he's always looking for a partner.
04:38So, we haven't spoken to him yet about it
04:41but, look, I think, you know,
04:43hopefully the movie gets out to audiences
04:45and they're excited by it
04:47and they embrace these characters
04:49and where we go from here, they're going to let us know.
04:52What is the beauty of Wildlife Prophecy for you?
04:55I think the beauty for us is this idea
04:57that music can be transformative
04:59and something very powerful and universal
05:03that it travels across, you know, country and state lines
05:07and just brings joy and happiness to people
05:09and I think what we've been excited about
05:12and proud to share
05:13is something that has its heart in the right place.
05:16This isn't about cynical people
05:19and this isn't about darkness.
05:21This is about something we need right now
05:23which is just happiness and light.
05:25And joy and acceptance.
05:27Thank you for your time.
05:28Thank you very much.
05:30Thank you so much.
05:31Thank you.
