00:25E in Italia, we realized, quando I arrived here, I was reading the report,
00:30there are many NGOs that have been there since our independence in 1961.
00:35For example, the Consolata, Don Bosco, and many others who have been serving our country
00:42as a contribution towards the socio-economic activities.
00:46So I invited 10 NGOs to start with, not realizing that there were 102 NGOs
00:53or civil society organizations from Italy working in Tanzania.
00:58And then suddenly from 10, the list grew to 65 NGOs.
01:01But in total, there are 102 NGOs which are registered in Tanzania.
01:06These NGOs have been contributing a lot to our nation in different activities, different sectors.
01:15Mainly is the health sector.
01:16For example, QAM, the Doctors Without Borders from Italy, they've got great contribution.
01:22They've been there for the last 35 years and in pediatric services.
01:27There are NGOs like Consolata, Sisters, Don Bosco, Ivo Di Carneri, Chefa.
01:34Chefa has been there for more than 38 years in Tanzania.
01:38Chefa is mostly in agricultural sector whereby they are touching the lives of the people.
01:42So because of the national development plan and because of the great contribution from the Italian people
01:49through their non-state actors, the civil societies, we found basis and a necessity to have a dialogue, to have
02:00a meeting.
02:00All these industries I've mentioned, for example, agriculture employs 66% of the population, agriculture.
02:09They are involved or engaged directly or indirectly, 66% in agriculture, 10% in tourism, less than 10%
02:17in mining.
02:19Other services sector, about 20%.
02:22So when she focuses on this industry, is directly focusing on the socio-economic aspect of development of the people.
02:35So the answer is yes.
02:37The main focus is not more profit, but is to generate jobs, people to get income, people to get their
02:46basic income and run their lives.
02:52The various companies are who arefunded in journalism in Bahrain, San Francisco, both
