00:00I think that on the balance, what often resonates for people and what often seems to be really funny is
00:07when things are really true and we can relate to it, right?
00:10So comedy can sometimes be an outlet.
00:12First of all, comedy can be an icebreaker to get into deeper conversations.
00:17It's through laughing about stuff that we can allow ourselves to go deeper and explore ideas.
00:22And I think that people can, you know, as you find a lot of stand-ups can talk about things
00:31and say things, the reason that we laugh is because we all agree and we go, yeah, I feel that
00:37way too.
00:38Yeah, you know, and at a stand-up we'll talk about something that's sort of deeply uncomfortable.
00:43And it's got, again, it needs to be real in order for it to, because we can tell if it's
00:49not real.
00:50Yeah, right.
00:51Now, that's not always the case, but there is definitely a connection there.
00:56There has to be emotional commitment from the stand-up that they really believe, what they're telling you is genuine,
01:02because we can tell if it's real or if it's fake.
