00:01So Maria from the Hamster Rescue messaged me and she said,
00:06Someone emailed me saying they found two hamsters roaming park and I asked for a picture and it's actually two
00:12guinea pigs.
00:13Do you know who can help?
00:15And of course I do.
00:17So I reached out to some of the shelter volunteers and they said,
00:22Well, yeah, you just want to take them to the shelter near where the park where they were found.
00:26So that's what she did.
00:28But let's let's listen to Seda tell the story about what she experienced.
00:34And I think it's really great to hear it from her.
00:38So these two beautiful baby boys were abandoned at the park under a branch of a tree.
00:47As much as I want to take credit for finding them, it was actually Goli, my pit bull, that found
00:52them because he was the one that I was walking with him.
00:55And he happened to pull me to that tree and he sniffed them out and they were huddled together under
01:03the trunk of a tree.
01:05And I'm glad that he did because I would have walked right past them.
01:10I would have never seen them because they were like huddled together into a little ball, scared and pretty sure
01:16hungry.
01:19And you couldn't even tell what they were because they were so tightly huddled together.
01:25And it was just sad to see them there that somebody would just leave them just thrown there like they
01:33were nothing.
01:34But I'm glad I was there.
01:36We were there to pick them up and hopefully they'll get a better chance at a better life.
01:43Seda took them to the West L.A. shelter.
01:46And when they got checked in, I got some really sweet videos from Rosie, who is one of the volunteers
01:56in the small animal room.
01:58And she just she sent me after she set up the cages for them, she sent me the sweetest videos.
02:03So I'm just going to share these because you're going to die.
02:34I'm just going to die.
02:36I'm just going to die.
02:40I'm just going to die.
02:41I'm just going to die.
02:42I'm just going to die.
02:42I'm just going to die.
02:44I'm just going to die.
02:46I'm just going to die.
02:47I'm just going to die.
02:47I'm just going to die.
02:48I'm just going to die.
02:50I'm just going to die.
02:56I'm just going to die.
02:58Oh, hello, good morning, good morning, hi, hi, hi, hi, hi, good morning, oh, you hit the top.
03:26I'm excited, are you excited?
03:28I'm excited.
03:29We're gonna go meet these park piggies, we're at the West LA shelter, and Rosie's here, knock
03:43knock, hello, good.
03:53Hi, hi, where's the other one, hi boys, Rosie's in the house, Rosie, your hair matches the
04:12Midwest.
04:12That's, that's what I was aiming for.
04:15It's good to be coordinated, look at that, so look at this, you just take a whole panel
04:21off.
04:23Okay, hi little one.
04:26Have you gotten a sense of their personalities yet?
04:29They're just so full of life, it's hilarious.
04:32Is there any differentiating factor?
04:34I can't tell, they're both the same, like they both rumble strut, they both popcorn really
04:40high.
04:42Yeah, I saw that.
04:43And then one of them, like, weeks, once the other one...
04:45Oh, he's a love fluff.
04:47You're a little fluff.
04:49Hi.
04:52Aww.
04:54Very soft.
04:55And squirmy.
05:01Hi.
05:03He's shy.
05:04Are you shy?
05:06Are you shy?
05:07I would say I'd put him at top six weeks.
05:11Uh oh.
05:11Sorry, I'll be back hearing.
05:13Six weeks is what I would put him at.
05:17Hi boys.
05:19Oh.
05:21Oh my goodness.
05:23Oh, what cute boys.
05:26Yeah.
05:27And they're still on stray hold?
05:28Until Tuesday at least.
05:30Okay.
05:31I'm...
05:31Gives us some time.
05:32I'm frequently saying that, like, piggies that grow up together, you never know if they're
05:37going to be able to stay together, but I feel like when you go through this kind of
05:41trauma and you're dumped like that, like...
05:43That's what I'm praying for.
05:44Like, at the very least hope they're bonded.
05:47They really do love each other.
05:48They do love each other.
05:49They seem like brothers.
05:50Yeah.
05:50They definitely seem like brothers.
05:51They're totally brothers.
05:53And they act the same.
05:54It's hilarious.
05:56But I love that one's American and one's Abby.
05:59Yeah.
05:59And, like, they even have the same, like...
06:00Yeah.
06:01It's so cute.
06:03There's the thumbnail right there.
06:06Hi.
06:08It's surprising how bald they are.
06:10Aww.
06:11Some dumbass probably got them from a pet store.
06:14Am I allowed to say that on YouTube?
06:15Sure.
06:16I don't care.
06:16I don't care.
06:17Some dumbass got them at the pet store.
06:19Try not to talk baby talk to them.
06:22Oh, yeah.
06:24He's a super doobie.
06:25He's a super doobie, shoobie, shoobie, shoobie.
06:26Oh, they are cute.
06:30Yeah.
06:31I think they could probably...
06:32I mean, yeah, do we think that once they go through puberty they could start fighting?
06:36That's always...
06:38But I think if someone had a big enough cage with a loft, I love the loft for boys.
06:44You could maybe stay together, but don't be a butthead to your brother.
06:47You the troublemaker.
06:49Or you the troublemaker.
06:51Which one?
06:52Those whiskers are crazy.
06:54So you guys were just under a bush and some dog saw you?
06:57Yep.
06:58Yep.
06:59Right, right at the park down the street.
07:01Were they easy to catch?
07:03How did she...?
07:04They were frozen in fear.
07:05And not in a cage or anything?
07:07And the pit bulls sniffed them out and they were just like huddled there.
07:11Testament to pit bulls have a worse reputation than the actual fact of...
07:16Yeah.
07:17Like...
07:18Well, I mean, I wouldn't...
07:20Pipples are big babies.
07:21It's better to worry and take precautions than to just assume that they're going to be fine.
07:27You're just so little as little.
07:29Like, look how tiny these hands...
07:30This is why I'm like about six weeks old max.
07:34Like, these are baby babies.
07:36It's so funny because we hacked the babies out and then compared to the big guys, I'm like,
07:40whoa, the sizes are so bigger.
07:42Somebody's making a noise.
07:43Well, they're probably...
07:45What's it going on?
07:46Putting on...
07:47What's it going on?
07:4850 grams a day.
07:49You guys eating all those yum-yums?
07:51Yum-yum stuff?
07:53Are you eating yum-yums?
07:55Oh, he's a good boy.
07:58I probably have an extra bag of baby pellets I should have brought over.
08:01Well, hopefully we can figure out some solution to get you guys out.
08:06Yeah.
08:07I would like to get them all out.
08:08They're too cute.
08:10Oh my goodness.
08:13Yeah, we've been empty for like months.
08:16Veronica said...
08:17I know Veronica's at Baldwin Park just got two girls in.
08:21Alright, so you want to do health checks on these new piggies?
08:26You can do health checks on them.
08:27I can do it too, yeah.
08:28Yeah.
08:29Oh.
08:29Teeth look good.
08:32This one's a girl.
08:34Stop it.
08:36Saskia does that to me all the time.
08:38Like, she'll do like an outgoing health check and I'm like, what the...
08:41Like, my soul leaves my body.
08:43Why would you do that to me?
08:44I think I peed myself a little.
08:46I already checked.
08:49Yeah, that's how we usually know they're soon ready to be weaned from mom and sisters.
08:55This was just an excuse.
08:56It's like very funny.
08:58Oh, I can't wait for you guys to see this one because I picked them up.
09:01I'm like, oh god, they're pregnant.
09:03Let me do that one real quick.
09:04Here, you guys.
09:05Just put them back.
09:05Go back.
09:06Yeah, put them in this cage.
09:07You want airlift?
09:08I want to say goodbye.
09:10Oh, wait.
09:11So this one's got some dark on them.
09:14That's cool.
09:17And this one's a little bigger, huh?
09:18Yeah.
09:19He's a turkey.
09:20Oh, he's going to be a big turkey.
09:22Your brother will be back shortly.
09:23Let me see.
09:25These look good.
09:26I wouldn't expect they to be...
09:28They look really good compared to like...
09:30The only thing that there could be would be like mange or ringworm.
09:33I'm not saying anything.
09:33They look super good, yeah.
09:35Alright, so we were going to talk about Rosie and everybody at West L.A. in the small animal room
09:42making sure that they find a great family for these piggies.
09:48But now, instead, I'm going to try to talk you into why you should adopt them.
09:54Why who should?
09:55You should.
09:56I should adopt these boys?
09:59Because you need them.
10:00Why should I adopt these boys?
10:01You need them in your life.
10:04No.
10:05You're welcome.
10:06But if you fostered them, then you could have them here for even longer.
10:10Oh, precious.
10:11I want to get them out of there.
10:14They are available at the West L.A. shelter.
10:17I'm going to send out a message to the group and see if we can work some magic.
10:25Yeah.
10:25I just want to really make sure that they end up going someplace special,
10:29but I know that Rosie's also committed to the same thing
10:33and making sure that they get their minimum care.
10:40care requirements needs met.
10:43Yeah.
10:45The good thing is there's always a volunteer at the shelter in the small animal room when they're open.
10:51Yeah.
10:53Yeah, they're the best.
10:54Alright.
10:56Shhhh...
10:58Shhhhh...reello
10:59Shhhhh...
