00:00In the Indian corporate scene, at the entry level, the participation of women is close to 50% now.
00:07And what does entry level mean?
00:08First 5 to 7 years of service.
00:11And there you find their participation is 46%, 48%, which is almost equal.
00:17And then it drops steeply.
00:19At the middle management levels, women start getting absent.
00:23And then when it comes to the top, the C-suite category, there the participation is barely 10 to 15%.
00:32Why? Again, ideals.
00:35I'm a woman. There are certain things I'm supposed to do.
00:38I'm supposed to be educated. That's fine.
00:40I'm supposed to get a job. Even that is fine.
00:43But then comes an ideal. Something else becomes more important.
00:47And then to decorate the ideals, we start using euphemisms.
