Two cult cars with designs that turn heads - VW's New Beetle convertible and its open-top competitor,the BMW Mini. They look great,but how do they measure up in day-to-day use?drive it! tested the Mini Cooper convertible with its 120 horsepower engine,and compared it with the New Beetle which carries a 102 horsepower automatic version. We took a close look at how easy the tops came down and at the amount of space in the passenger compartment. For the models we tested,the Beetle convertible starts at 25,125 euros (in Germany). The Mini Cooper convertible starts at 22,500 euros.
