00:30I think that tennis really needs a reset of some kind on a bigger level.
00:37I think that our tours respectively are not functioning well at all.
00:44I mean, there's a lot of things that is happening in the backstage,
00:48meetings and, you know, relationships are not going in the right direction.
00:54Grand Slams are the pillars, you know.
00:55Grand Slams are going to always be Grand Slams.
00:57They're always going to be the most important tournaments we have in our sport.
01:01But respectively, I think the tours have to look into the formats, rules, calendar.
01:07You know, there's a lot of complaints from Latin American players that have a shorter season.
01:13You know, Latin American players have been for decades producing some of the best players in the world.
01:18And they have shorter and shorter seasons, you know, on clay or hardcore.
01:23They have a combination of the two.
01:25I just, I feel like we are trying to bend aid on everything, you know.
01:30Just trying to fix something and put this tournament, take the, you know.
01:34But what we have to do, in my opinion, if we want this sport to really improve
01:40and to be experiencing a long, sustaining success in the future, in the next decades,
01:47and to be able to compete with the popularity of all the other global sports,
01:52we just have to take all of the interest sides in our sport and all of the key players sit
01:58down.
01:58Let's see what we can do.
02:00You know, like, I don't see that happening because what I've been hearing and what I've been seeing
02:05is in the last couple of years, there's a lot of, a lot more conflict
02:09within the governing bodies of our sport than there is unity, unfortunately.
02:13So, yeah, that's a long answer to your question.
02:16But, you know, essentially, I'm all for innovation and change
02:21because we have to maintain the culture and the tradition of our sport,
02:25which I've always respected in history.
02:26But we have to, like, how do we get younger audience to like tennis, you know?
02:32PTPA did, years ago, we did this research and study, sorry,
02:39and the age of the average tennis fan around the world was 61, with all due respect, you know?
02:46Like, how do we get younger people to really get hooked on tennis, you know?
02:50And we get them to be, you know, interested in tennis for Grand Slams, maybe.
02:54And that's it. But they're not going to sit, like, for four hours and five hours and watch it every
02:59day,
03:00you know, like that. It's just not going to happen.
03:03It's a short amount, short attention span.
03:05You know, we have to see what the market is about.
03:07You know, how do we, how do we get to them?
03:09You know, then we, in my opinion, we have to change the format and the tours
03:14and have the tournaments, have shorter matches, more dynamic, you know,
03:19be able to have something more interesting and shorter length,
03:23because this is too long, you know what I mean?
03:25I mean, Grand Slams, it's different, obviously, playing best of five and so forth.
03:28I have my opinions on that, but I think on the tours, at least, we could play around,
03:33and we need to, but it's not happening.
03:35So let's see what happens there.
03:37Thank you.
