00:00Acharya Prashant delivered the keynote address during London Climate Action Week 2026 at the London School of Economics. Here's a
00:07glimpse.
00:08On my tour to the UK, I have been repeatedly emphasizing it is mass education of the self alone that
00:16will deliver the goods for us.
00:18Because the climate crisis is not an external crisis. Who am I? I'm just a human being. What does that
00:24really mean? And we don't want to address that.
00:26And our education systems, our media, the way we are brought up, our families, none of them address that question.
00:33So the kid is brought up in an environment of great inner superstition.
00:38And I'm using that word with caution, standing here in an educational setup.
00:44Yes, one might be greatly educated, one might have great external knowledge,
00:49but one might still be inwardly believing in something that has never been tested.
00:54And that's what we need to do. Education is the answer.
00:57Yes, obviously we require good green technologies.
01:00Yes, we require illuminated voters, the electorate and great policy makers, but not at all sufficient.
01:09That is not going to suffice because the crisis is primarily internal.
01:14And if we are not addressing that, then we are fooling ourselves.
01:19It's obvious.
