From the Atlantic to the great wide plains,
Beneath the stars of destiny's reign,
Presidents come and presidents go,
And History continues its flow.
Washington laid the cornerstone,
Adams guarded the nation newly grown,
Jefferson dreamed of horizons wide,
Madison kept the Constitution as guide.
