00:04Another day, another round of American airstrikes, and another dangerous escalation in the Persian Gulf.
00:12President Donald Trump has ordered fresh military strikes against Iran,
00:16accusing Tehran of violating the ceasefire for a second consecutive day.
00:21The latest exchange has reignited fears that diplomacy is rapidly giving way to open confrontation.
00:28The United States military has confirmed carrying out another wave of strikes inside Iran on June 27,
00:36under direct orders from President Donald Trump.
00:40According to U.S. Central Command, American aircraft targeted Iranian military surveillance infrastructure,
00:46communication systems, air defense positions, drone storage facilities, and mine layer capabilities.
00:54CENTCOM said the operation came after Iran allegedly launched a one-way attack drone against the Panama-flagged tanker M
01:02.T. Kiku,
01:03which was carrying more than two million barrels of crude oil while transiting near the Strait of Hormuz.
01:10The U.S. says Iran was given an opportunity to comply with the ceasefire after earlier American strikes,
01:17but instead chose to launch another attack against commercial shipping.
01:21President Trump defended the operation in a strongly-worded Truth Social post.
01:26He wrote that U.S. aircraft had struck Iranian military infrastructure after repeated violations of the ceasefire,
01:34and warned that if Tehran continued its actions, the United States could dramatically expand its military response.
01:40Trump also issued one of his strongest warnings yet, saying that if the situation continued to escalate,
01:48Iran itself could face devastating consequences.
01:52The latest strikes come only a day after another maritime incident in the Gulf.
01:57Earlier this week, a commercial vessel was attacked near Oman,
02:01prompting the first round of American retaliation against Iranian military targets.
02:06Iran has maintained that it responded to American military action by targeting sites linked to U.S. forces across the
02:14region.
02:15Meanwhile, maritime security concerns continue to intensify.
02:20UKMTO reported that the bridge of the tanker struck on Saturday sustained damage,
02:25although all crew members were safely accounted for.
02:28The Joint Maritime Information Center has since raised its regional threat level,
02:33warning that commercial vessels operating near the Strait of Hormuz face elevated risks.
02:39Iran has not directly acknowledged attacking specific commercial ships.
02:43However, Iranian state television reported that the Revolutionary Guards fired what it described as warning shots
02:50towards vessels using routes not approved by Tehran,
02:54and suggested that ships should now obtain Iranian authorization before transiting parts of the strait.
03:01The Strait of Hormuz remains one of the world's most important energy corridors,
03:06carrying a substantial share of global oil exports every day.
03:11Any prolonged disruption could have significant consequences for international energy markets and regional security.
03:19For now, both Washington and Tehran continue accusing each other of violating the ceasefire.
03:25Diplomatic efforts remain under severe strain,
03:29and with military exchanges continuing for a second straight day,
03:34fears are growing that the fragile truce may be slipping further out of reach.
