00:00Ah, I've gone the wrong way again, Pete's sakes. Don't get me wrong, I love gravel cycling but
00:06I just can't seem to stop getting lost and it's hardly surprising when none of these tracks are
00:12showing up on my cycle computer. Every single junction I have to stop, get my phone out my
00:18pocket, look at the maps and then get going again. Surely there's a better way. Well to help me
00:25explore some more local gravel I've downloaded Relevate which is an iPhone app and soon you'll
00:31be able to download it on Android phones and it basically turns your phone into a bike computer
00:37and a bit more. My favourite feature though is this open maps layer which if I turn that on I
00:44can now
00:44see all the tracks, the trails, the bridleways. Looks like I've got quite a bit more exploring to do.
00:50You might think that this will absolutely chew through battery but I've been losing about
00:54well less than 12% per hour and I've got all the fancy features such as the group track,
01:00the segments, I've got estimated power enabled but if you are going really long on like an endurance
01:05ride or a multi-day adventure then there's also this power save mode which should bring that down
01:11to around 6% per hour. I'll tell you what, if I go away or travel somewhere new my cycling
01:17computer is
01:17staying at home. I'm using this. There you go, my heart rate's coming down now. Phew!
