Initially, we struggled to root for Wyndham Clark due to his past, but the 'disgusting' actions of the crowd on the final day changed our perspective. Here's our take on the situation.

00:00I'll be honest I didn't really want him to win
00:01on the first two or three days
00:03but on that final day I was really cheering for him
00:05because what he had to go through
00:07I think was quite disgusting
00:08Yeah and I mentioned literally a couple of episodes ago
00:11about how I struggled to root for Wyndham Clark
00:14because of his previous behaviour
00:17that's been well publicised
00:19but even I as you mentioned Elliot
00:20on the final round
00:23was rooting for him really
00:24because it's an individual
00:26you know you can sort of semi-understand
00:28although I don't think
00:30that sort of crowd behaviour
00:31that we witnessed in New York
00:32this week or at the Ryder Cup
00:34is acceptable in any way
00:35but you can sort of understand
00:36a little bit more of that pack mentality
00:38at a team event
00:39but this is an individual sport
00:41and willing an individual player
00:45to not perform very well
00:48and doing so so vocally
00:50in front of their face
00:51while they're going for a major championship
00:54in my opinion is despicable
00:55and I was as you mentioned
00:59sort of rooting for him in the end
01:00because he has gone through
01:02that period of reflection
01:04after his previous sort of poor behaviour
01:06he's apologised
01:07he's said that he knows
01:08he's acknowledged that
01:09he's lost a lot of love from the fans
01:13because of that
01:15but you know
01:16people make mistakes
01:17and people do have to bounce back
01:19and it's their actions
01:21that sort of prove whether or not
01:23they mean those words
01:24and I think he has shown
01:26that he's on that path back
01:28and in the end
01:29I think he was a worthy champion
01:30I think he was aivan
01:30I think he has shown
