01:00Yeah, actually it was about eight years ago.
01:04And you have changed a lot, actually.
01:06Yes, you think so.
01:07I don't think you've aged. What I mean is you've changed your image,
01:10you've kind of found yourself down and all the rest of it.
01:12Yeah, I mean, I was, I don't know, about 24 then, and it was quite a long time ago.
01:17There was this period, wasn't there, in interviews with you about two, three years ago,
01:21when the lead question was always, well, you've been through a bad time, Kim.
01:24Oh, you've had all this trouble, you know, what was the drink and everything.
01:26And that's so far behind you now, so what are you doing now?
01:29I mean, obviously, apart from the career thing, I mean, how are you with your life?
01:31Is that completely on the tracks now? Do you feel sort of content, happy?
01:35Yes, I do, actually.
01:36I'm not supposed to say that, I'm supposed to be troubled and anxious.
01:40Yeah, no, I feel really great, you know, I like getting older, and I feel more relaxed and more confident,
01:48and the experience of life that helps you sort of enjoy life more, I think, you know.
01:54And I'm fitter as well, so that's a good bonus, I think.
01:58You do step aerobics, don't you?
01:59Yeah, I do lots of steps and stretch and stuff.
02:01Is step really good?
02:02Yeah, it is. It's quite hard work, but it's really good fun, and I go to a local gym with
02:06all the girls.
02:08And I should imagine in your business as well, getting older gives you a sense of control,
02:11because in the music business, I mean, when you're very young, you can be so easily exploited, can't you?
02:16People just sort of take you over and make you over, and you're not your own person at all.
02:21Yeah, they can. I mean, it's quite hard to keep your confidence and your own identity about yourself and stuff.
02:26And there have been a few times, I think, in my career where I didn't have the confidence and the
02:30courage of my convictions
02:31to wear and do and be as I was.
02:33And I try to be someone else and say what I thought might be right.
02:37But not very often, in fact.
02:39Because I really have a great team around me, and I have my mum and dad, and I have my
02:43brother and my sister.
02:44And so I've got people around me who are protecting me a lot from those sort of situations.
