Christian Pulisic's return from injury was a big positive for the USA from their dead-rubber defeat to Turkey
Transcript
00:00It was Christian Pulisic getting back on the field.
00:03How important is that for you as a team, having him back out?
00:08Yeah, man, I think he felt the energy shift when he came on.
00:10He came on, was pretty direct, was taking on players,
00:13had a few opportunities.
00:15But again, he's a guy that we really look forward to as a leader,
00:18not necessarily about what he says but what he does.
00:19So, again, we're happy to see him out there.
00:21We knew that he was going to be 100%.
00:24Didn't want to say too much out in the media,
00:25so we were just letting him do his own thing.
00:26But, you know, very happy to see him back on the pitch.
00:28And not the result you wanted, but it's now the first time
00:32that the US have ever scored three in three consecutive games
00:34at the World Cup.
00:36So, what does that say?
00:38Is there a belief that every time you go out on pitch,
00:40it doesn't matter who is going to be on the field,
00:43you're going to score goals?
00:44Definitely, I mean, we have different combinations,
00:46different ways to score goals.
00:48So, you know, I think it's good.
00:50I didn't know that stat, so that's nice to hear.
00:52Defensively, we can always do better.
00:53I mean, we need to keep more clean sheets,
00:55but ultimately, you know, if the guys up front are scoring goals,
00:57then it makes our job a little bit easier.
00:58We can't have that.
00:59Okay, so let's do that.
