00:00What do you think Birdie's main motivation is as the case develops and the FBI are closing in?
00:05Success. This means a lot for her to get this done.
00:10You know, I think being a woman on the force and being a special agent in charge,
00:15there's a lot of people at the top waiting for her to fail.
00:18And so above anything, she's got to be the one to catch these guys,
00:23and she'll do it by any means necessary.
00:26Do you think it's kind of like a power struggle within the force in itself?
00:31It wasn't heard of to have a woman at the head of a task force at this time.
00:36This is where Chris and Michael have kind of, you know, taken their own artistic freedom,
00:41but it means so much to be the person that they chose to be in charge of this task force.
00:48And she's going to get her guy. I don't know when, but she's going to get him.
00:54So when you're preparing for this role, do you think that your experience in playing Maya Miller in Ozark really
01:00helped you?
01:02Absolutely. I mean, just on set as an actress, it helped me, you know, being in the room with Jason
01:07Bateman,
01:08being in the room with Laura Linney. It was just a dream come true, and I learned so much from
01:11them.
01:12And I was able to take that experience into every single show I do, every single role I do.
01:17And FBI-wise, you know, Maya Miller was actually an accountant that the FBI hired.
01:22Murdy is the FBI, and it's so exciting to sort of be a completely different version of what that means.
01:30Do you think you have, like, any similarities to your role? Do you embody her as well?
01:34Yeah, yeah. She's ballsy, you know. She's take no charge. She is not sensitive with feelings, and you need that
01:45to succeed, including your own.
01:47You can't get too attached. You can't get too, you know, and so I love that about her.
01:52But her tenacity and her just, you know, determination is absolutely 1,000 or something.
02:00Yeah, it's kind of like a wider message to all the females, which you miss as well.
02:05Yeah, absolutely. It is a woman-powered role. She's not going to take no, I'm not going to say the
02:10word, ish.
02:12And I'm very excited to be playing with her.
02:15So what can we next expect from you?
02:18Lots of things that I can't talk about.
02:21That's okay, no worries.
02:22But it's going to be an exciting journey, and I look forward to just seeing you guys along the way.
