00:00Previously on Treasure Hunters, two groups of five teams separated by thousands of miles began their quest for a hidden
00:08treasure worth millions.
00:11The first stage of the hunt took them along two very different paths, through the chilly Arctic wastelands of Alaska
00:17and through the pounding surf off the coast of Hawaii.
00:21Here the Brown family learned very quickly that the physical challenges would test them like never before.
00:27Up ahead, Team Air Force dominated both physically and mentally.
00:32They were the first to discover the final clue, a coded map.
00:37In Alaska, it was the methodical team ex-CIA who outmaneuvered the other teams.
00:43They were the first to find a cryptic cylinder, the key to the map.
00:48In the back of the pack, the beauty queens of Miss USA struggled in last place.
00:53But were relieved to find out that they were still in the hunt.
00:58The teams have now joined up in Lincoln, Nebraska, and everything is about to change.
01:14For maybe a second I think this is a mirror and then it's just not computing and it hits me.
01:21There's five more teams in this game.
01:24With five teams it's going to be tough enough, but with five more, now there's ten teams all together.
01:29Pursuing this treasure is going to be a lot more challenging.
01:42Welcome to Lincoln.
01:44As you can see, the game just got a lot harder.
01:47What you thought was a competition between five teams is now a battle of ten.
01:52For the next stage of the hunt, one team from Hawaii will work together with one team from Alaska.
01:58And there is an advantage for the teams that were in first place.
02:01The fastest teams will be paired with each other.
02:04So, ex-CIA, you were the fastest team leading out of Alaska, so you'll be working with the fastest team
02:09from Hawaii, Air Force.
02:11Southie Boys, you'll be paired with the Fogel family.
02:15Young professionals, you'll work with the geniuses.
02:18While Hanlons, you'll work with the graduates.
02:24And that leaves Miss USA and the Browns.
02:28For the remainder of the hunt, you'll have a couple items that will help you along the way.
02:32A Motorola Razr cell phone. This is how I will continue to communicate with you.
02:37A laptop computer with special access to ask.com and its unique search technology.
02:44It will also give you online access to Orbits.com, a crucial tool for booking your travel along the hunt.
02:51You will board one of the five buses behind me. One bus for each pair of teams.
02:57You already have everything you need to figure out where you'll be heading.
03:01Each pair of teams holds different clues, found in different locations.
03:06You must work quickly, because at the end of this stage, someone will be eliminated.
03:14Ex-CIA, Air Force, choose your bus.
03:20Take the first one. I'll take the first one all the way to the right.
03:23The Southie Boys, the Fogel family.
03:28Young professionals and the geniuses.
03:32The Wild Hamlins and the graduates.
03:35Ladies first.
03:36That's right, go ahead.
03:37Miss USA, the Browns, board your bus.
03:41Let's do this.
03:44Morning guys.
03:59Hey guys, we got a Motorola message.
04:03There is just one more thing. Your bus is heading in the wrong direction, and your driver will not change
04:10course until you can give the correct destination.
04:13What you have found, and where you have been, will tell you where you need to go.
04:30Good luck.
04:32Now we're in the game. Let's pull them out.
04:34Which direction we're going to?
04:35The clue points to two possible destinations.
04:39What the teams don't know is that the drivers will accept either one.
04:43One will take them to the first of seven artifacts leading to the treasure, and the other will send them
04:48way off course.
04:50We've got this, and then we have the cylinder with these Greek letters.
04:54What do you guys got?
04:55There you go. Bring out the map, can you?
04:58Do we have to?
04:58Thank you. There it is right here, you guys.
05:01It's important.
05:01I'm so glad you thought that. Turn it over. There's the Greek letters.
05:05Oh.
05:06Okay.
05:07Okay, I don't have a pen.
05:11What do you guys have?
05:12We've got a map.
05:14We've got a map and...
05:15Is that a crypt text?
05:17Yeah, that's perfect.
05:17So you guys know what to use it for.
05:19Yeah, we know exactly what to use it for.
05:22H equals T.
05:25No, so M-T-T.
05:27M-T-T.
05:28M-T-T-H.
05:30Mount Theodore Roosevelt.
05:33That's Mount Roosevelt.
05:35It would have just said Mount Roosevelt if that was where we were going.
05:38It says Mount Theodore Roosevelt. There's something outside of the box that we need to be thinking about.
05:46R.
05:46Hold on.
05:47R.
05:47E.
05:48D.
05:49Yeah.
05:51R.
05:52Yeah.
05:53Theodore Roosevelt.
05:54Mount Theodore Roosevelt.
05:55Hey, listen, I'm guessing Colorado is my guess immediately, because we're close to Colorado.
06:02No.
06:03So this is in Greek.
06:06Here's some letters and stuff in Greek right here.
06:09So y'all graduate, so y'all must know the Greek alphabet.
06:15Stillwater, Washington was a clue.
06:17Stillwater was the lake.
06:19Stillwater was the lake.
06:20Washington was George.
06:21George, Washington, Lincoln, Washington.
06:23So after that, I said so, like, it was Jefferson and Roosevelt.
06:27We know that, because we have a Jefferson boat.
06:29We were on a ship named Jefferson.
06:31And we're here, Lincoln.
06:31That's where we're going.
06:32Is there anything, anything Roosevelt, though?
06:34Nothing Roosevelt.
06:34But that could be something for the future.
06:37Because that's what we need to find.
06:38Okay.
06:41I mean, you would think you would see some kind of image.
06:45Yeah, and I mean, it kind of does.
06:48Come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on here.
06:51Mount Rushmore.
06:53It can't be that.
06:54You don't think that's that?
06:56You don't think it's that?
06:57I don't think it's that simple.
06:59Okay, we're going further away, so should we stop so that we can get computer connection?
07:03I don't think that.
07:04I don't think I'm going to let it.
07:05Hey, driver, can you stop?
07:08I'll tell you, give me a destination.
07:12How about Mount Rushmore?
07:15You know where that is?
07:18That's where we want to go.
07:28What are you talking about?
07:35Yeah, yeah, yeah.
07:37I feel it, I feel it.
07:39And when she told him to go to Mount Rushmore, what did he say?
07:42Yes, I do.
07:43He said, yes, I do.
07:44Oh, my God!
07:50Mount Rushmore.
07:51Mount Rushmore?
07:52Yes.
07:52Yes.
07:53Okay.
07:54Okay, great.
07:54I'm going to Mount Rushmore.
07:55Signet.
07:56Nice work.
07:56It's good having the Central Intelligence Agency.
07:58Good job, Mark.
07:59Take us to Mount Rushmore, South Dakota.
08:03Okay.
08:03Okay.
08:04Okay.
08:04That's it?
08:05Hiya!
08:09Hiya!
08:12Hiya!
08:13Hiya!
08:13Hiya!
08:18We're going?
08:18The most interesting thing is Mount Theodore Roosevelt.
08:20How do you know?
08:20How do you know?
08:21Have you ever been to Mount Theodore Roosevelt?
08:22No.
08:23Have you ever heard of Mount Theodore Roosevelt?
08:24I haven't heard of him.
08:25Well, we know, we know, hey, but we know one thing.
08:27We know that that's a mountain where the X is.
08:29Because of the contour line.
08:31That's a mountain.
08:31Right.
08:32He's right here.
08:36We've got George Washington.
08:38Abraham Lincoln.
08:39We stayed at Lake George.
08:41Yeah, there's George Washington.
08:42Okay, we just need to get to Mount Rushmore.
08:43Now we've got Theodore Roosevelt.
08:45Those are the presidents on Mount Rushmore.
08:47Those are Mount Rushmore.
08:48So that's why we're going to need to go to Mount Rushmore.
08:49Can you take us to Mount Rushmore?
08:51Take us to Mount Rushmore.
08:52Mount Rushmore.
08:54You got that?
08:55Yeah.
08:55He's on his way.
08:56Got it.
08:57That's all we have to do is tell him to take us to Mount Rushmore?
08:59That's it.
08:59All right.
09:03Are you guys looking for Mount Theodore Roosevelt on here?
09:05More than likely.
09:06No, that's an Alaska map.
09:07That's a Hawaii map.
09:09It's almost as if you really have to dumb yourself down.
09:11But it's hard to when you're smart.
09:13I don't want to sound cocky or anything, but it's just like we're smart kids.
09:17I say let's try it.
09:19Driver, take us to Mount Theodore Roosevelt.
09:25Did you confirm, driver, to take us?
09:28Yes.
09:28We're good?
09:33That is correct.
09:59We told the bus driver to take us to Mount Theodore Roosevelt.
10:04We just don't know if the right place was Mount Theater Roosevelt or Mount Rushmore.
10:10I believe that the hunt wouldn't be as ambiguous as to send us to Mount Rushmore when there
10:17actually is a place called Mount Theater Roosevelt.
10:21When I woke up at like 8 this morning, I was like, ugh, I'm doing something wrong.
10:25I just felt it was wrong.
10:48Wow.
10:49Wow.
10:51Amazing.
10:54It gives me goosebumps.
10:55Out of the window we see Mount Rushmore and we just think, oh my god, it's more beautiful
10:59in person than it could have ever been in pictures.
11:02It was phenomenal.
11:03Oh my gosh.
11:05We're in first place right now and we're not letting anyone get in our way in the first
11:08place.
11:11Do it.
11:12Do it.
11:13Do it.
11:13Do it.
11:14Do it.
11:26Welcome to Mount Rushmore.
11:29The first of seven artifacts that will lead you to the treasure is hidden here.
11:34And this is where the first team will be eliminated.
11:37Everyone knows these four faces, but Mount Rushmore holds the secret.
11:42The designers of this monument built a hidden chamber.
11:45It holds a time capsule that contains copies of America's most treasured documents.
11:50The Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights.
11:55The creators of those documents left coded messages that are still around us today.
12:02Now, similar time capsules are hidden somewhere on this mountain.
12:07From here on, it's every team for themselves.
12:10You must take the presidential trail.
12:13Then hike to the view where you can just see two.
12:17Pay attention to the natural order of things.
12:20But remember, history has a way of changing that natural order.
12:25There are only nine artifacts on the mountain, and ten teams competing.
12:30For one team, the hunt will end here.
12:34Okay.
12:34Let's go.
12:35Historic viewings here.
12:37That's where we gotta go.
12:38We are in first place, you guys.
12:41Presidential trail to Grandview Terrace, 0.3 miles.
12:44Strenuous trail with 250 steps.
12:46Holy crap.
12:47No sweat.
12:48No sweat.
12:48No sweat.
12:50No sweat.
12:54No sweat.
12:55No sweat.
12:58No sweat.
12:59Follow the presidential trail.
13:01Right.
13:01Presidents.
13:03Let's...
13:04So this right here.
13:05Are these presidents?
13:14You must take the presidential trail.
13:16Then hike to the view where you can just see two there are only nine artifacts on the mountain for
13:22one team
13:22The hunt will end here. We have to have an opportunity to get off the trail, right?
13:28Just pay attention to your surroundings. There may be some objects along the way
13:34Yeah, Matthew
13:35Get out. Come here
13:37There's no rush for it
13:41There it is
13:41That's awesome, huh?
13:45Heavenly Father, we just thank you for this beautiful day
13:47And Father, we just want to commit this time to you. We pray that it would go well
13:50That you'd help us do the very best that we can
13:52Amen
13:53Let's do it
14:00Do that old fast walk, man
14:03Come on, come on
14:05Presidential trail this way
14:07Pay attention to everything you see
14:08We're following them?
14:09Are they down below us or above us?
14:10They're below
14:11Is this the way we want to go?
14:12Yes
14:13Are you sure?
14:14Yes, I know
14:14The presidential trail
14:16This is it?
14:17Okay, the view where you can see just two
14:19Are you sure this is it?
14:20Yeah, I can only see two
14:21Yeah, well there's Lincoln
14:22You can barely see him, I mean you just see
14:24Yeah, Lincoln and George
14:25Pink Street has a way of changing itself
14:30This street has a way of changing itself
14:32This street has a way of changing itself
14:41We can assume they're 20 minutes ahead of us
14:44As long as we get ahead of one person
14:46All we need to do is get to a park where they have to figure some stuff out
14:49That's right, we'll be good to go
14:51You know what I'm saying?
14:52We need to get to some hard puzzles
15:02Let's go, let's go, let's go, let's go
15:09Looks like we got another thing here
15:10Yeah, we do fellas
15:11Got something
15:12Let's go, let's go
15:15Picture of Theodore Roosevelt
15:17Good, good job, we know we're in the right place
15:18Okay
15:18Alright, hold on, hold on
15:19Look around
15:21Explore
15:21Somebody cut under the table
15:22Somebody cut under the table
15:23Under the table
15:28At Mount Roosevelt, teams will find an anamorphous painting reflected in the cylinder
15:33What the teams don't know is that they've had the answer all along in the painting on the back of
15:39the map
15:40When their cylinder is placed in the center, it reveals their final destination
15:46Was there another trail that we didn't see?
15:49There's gotta be like another way around somewhere
15:56I think we need to go back up there and see if we can't find another trail that we didn't
15:59go down
15:59So why did we come here?
16:02To confirm that we're going in the right spot
16:03I mean, do you guys see anything else around?
16:20Welcome to Mount Rushmore
16:22The time capsules are hidden somewhere on this mountain
16:26You must take the Presidential Trail
16:28Then hike to the view where you can just see two
16:32Pay attention to the natural order of things
16:34But remember, history has a way of changing that natural order
16:40There are only nine artifacts on the mountain
16:42For one team, the hunt will end here
16:46Okay, where's the President's Trail?
16:47President's Trail
16:51Keep up with us
16:53Pat, Josh, we gotta stay together, we're waiting on Pat
16:57Presidential Trail right here, look for us
17:00We can't go very far off the trail
17:01What's this?
17:05Dude, it's not gonna be in the trash can
17:07American flag?
17:08It could be going right through here, guys
17:10Sure
17:11Yeah
17:12Is that a beaten pathway?
17:14Hey, here's something
17:16What's that?
17:17I don't think it's it
17:20Here's a bunch of rocks over here, guys
17:21See if I can see two presidents from over here
17:26I'm not gonna give up
17:28Steady pace, steady pace
17:31What do you want, man?
17:31I can do it, man, I can do it
17:41The President's Trail pointed down
17:45This is not it
17:46This is not it
17:46We gotta be in C2
17:48This is not it
17:54Look, look, look, look, look, look, look, look
17:55We found burlap, but they won't let us go that way, it's blocked off
17:58Go this way
18:00Go ahead, what do you think?
18:01We were so close
18:02This is crazy
18:13Part of the message that we had was that we were to be at a place where we could only
18:17see two of the four presidents
18:20Sure enough, where we were, we looked up, and you could see just Washington and Lincoln
18:26What are we looking for, Brad?
18:27Look, look, look
18:29Come on, guys, come on, come on
18:32The guys are catching up
18:38Looks like there's no signs up here
18:42Matthew, John, let's go
18:43Brooke, Matthew, let's go
18:56Hey, we got two faces right there
18:58We gotta be in the theory of something
18:59Come on, here we go, here we go, right down here
19:01Come on
19:03Get him
19:06Come on, Air Force
19:07Get him
19:15Y'all, we're wasting time sitting here
19:16Yeah, let's move on up there
19:17I don't think there's anything
19:17Let's move on up there
19:18Let's move on up there
19:19Right
19:20Come on, head back up there
19:21Let's head back, let's head back
19:22There are no other teams here, let's think about this
19:24And there's no other teams here, guys
19:26That just means they ran up here and got whatever they needed and left
19:30Hey, guys, they might be here just to throw us off
19:33Yeah, but why would that be down there, then?
19:34To throw us off
19:36To be like, I mean, some people have to pick Mount Theodore Roosevelt
19:42No
19:42So they're gonna have something here
19:44There's something else up here
19:46There's gotta be something else up here
19:48Try the Air Force team
19:49Try the Fogles again
19:51Your call has been forwarded
19:53We're the only team up here
19:55So you think we need to go right back down, then?
19:58You understand if we go back down, we're gonna have to come right back up if we're wrong
20:01Hey, nobody else is here
20:03It's up to you guys, I say
20:05We'll meet y'all back down
20:08Oh
20:08Huge disadvantage, we're at the wrong place, y'all
20:10Oh, my God, like it
20:12Oh, God
20:14This doesn't make sense
20:19I know we're having trouble now
20:21Let's see our professionals
20:24Hello?
20:24Hey, what's up, guys? You fine and everything okay?
20:28Oh, how's it?
20:29Huh?
20:29No, we're at Mount Rushmore right now, we're looking for the document
20:32What are you doing?
20:33Right, right, okay
20:34Same thing
20:36Same thing?
20:37No luck?
20:37Look for what?
20:38For the document
20:40Document, document, document
20:40I know, that's what we're looking for, bro
20:41Okay, it's gonna be in a small hole
20:43We'll see you there
20:45Same place
20:48Call the boys and tell them to put a move on it
20:51Don't hurry up
20:52Okay, we're coming, we're on our way
20:54We gotta go to Rushmore now
20:57Damn it
21:05Here we go, here we go, right down here
21:06Come on
21:19Come on, everyone, please up!
21:23Come on, come on, come on, come on
21:25Oh, oh my God
21:29you must now figure out the combination to open the time capsules one beep means your answer is
21:35wrong two beeps and it will open there are only nine artifacts to be found but not every time
21:43capsule contains an artifact the answer you're looking for is right in front of you one team
21:49will be eliminated here john john john shake it shake it serve single beef that's what it said
21:59they're all beat between okay
22:07i tried it but what about the order we saw them coming up right who's the first president
22:11george washington is what number down one then we had who the second jefferson
22:23and this is definitely two in view thank you make it up with me thank you make it up come
22:29on
22:29let's do it man we'll have to you want to jump on my back no there's a little cave let's
22:35go down yeah
22:35let's go in the cave look you can look right through this crack and see only two right there it
22:42is let's
22:43there's a warning sign it's gonna be a hole is there anything under there no behind lincoln's head
22:50it's gonna be in this pathway this is freaking it
22:57this way this way this way this way this way this way this way are you sure the point where
23:01you can
23:01just see two
23:05yeah that's the year they're president not the year what order of president were they george washington
23:09was the first yeah one two three four no no he was the 16th president they blink
23:16history's what changed it though right the order of the faces were carved in the mountain
23:21count from who lincoln's yeah so 17
23:41the clue that we were given said history had a way of changing itself so instead of going in
23:46chronological order being washington jefferson lincoln roosevelt it was in the way of mount rushmore was
23:51formed one three twenty six sixteen and it opened you have found a map but of what the treasure is
24:00hidden at a location somewhere on this map this is the first of seven artifacts that together will
24:05lead you to the key find the key and you will find the treasure get some rest at camp and
24:12be ready
24:12to receive further instructions
24:13just wait glad we shook the box to make sure something's in there that was awesome
24:20think think about it one six two six three two six one six one yeah got it oh
