00:00The movie begins with our main character, Bear.
00:03He works with his friend, Nicky.
00:04He likes her a lot and even wants to propose to her,
00:07but he still hasn't found the courage to tell her the truth.
00:10Now, though, he doesn't want to wait any longer,
00:12so he sits down with his friends to practice proposing to Nicky.
00:16While he's getting into it, his friends tell him,
00:19yes, you should go meet Nicky right now.
00:21He gets excited just thinking about it and heads straight home, feeling happy.
00:25But his happiness quickly turns into grief when he finds his pet cat dead.
00:30He realizes he's the one to blame.
00:32He had left his medicine open and his cat died after eating it.
00:36He's shocked and devastated.
00:38For days, he doesn't talk to anyone and doesn't even leave the house.
00:41During this time, his whole world changes
00:44when he learns that Nicky is planning to move abroad to study

02:30When they arrive at Nicky's house, and she starts to get out of the car,
02:33Bear calls out to her in distress.
02:35She stops, and asks him what's wrong.
02:37But once again, Bear can't bring himself to say anything.
02:40He had finally found his answer, but his eyes told the truth.
02:44He wanted to say it.
02:45Nicky senses this and asks him,
02:46Do you love me?
02:48The question shocks him completely, and he can't say anything in return.
02:51Nicky can't either.
02:52She turns and walks away, leaving Bear stunned at what just happened.
02:56It was the perfect chance, and she had practically given him the answer herself.
03:01But he stayed silent.
03:02Desperate to fix everything, he panics, and pulls out the wishing stick he bought at the jewelry shop.
03:07He breaks it, and makes his wish, that Nicky would fall in love with him completely.
03:11As soon as he makes the wish, everything around him feels strange.
03:15A heavy silence falls, and it feels like something magical is happening.
03:19Even though Bear doesn't realize it yet, he's about to drive away, when he notices Nicky standing at the gate.
03:25Once Bear is gone, Nicky suddenly runs toward him and asks,
03:29Am I yours?
03:30Can I come stay at your place tonight?
03:32Surprised, he asks her what's wrong.
03:34Her eyes look strange, like she's in pain, or afraid.
03:38She says,
03:38Yes, I'm scared.
03:39I'm scared today.
03:40I don't want to be alone.
03:41I need you.
03:42We have to be together.
03:43Bear asks why, and she insists she just wants to go home with him.
03:47As soon as he agrees, Nicky gets in his car and falls asleep right away.
03:51Her strange behavior confuses Bear, but he brings her home and wakes her up once they arrive.
03:56Nicky goes straight to his bedroom and sits on the bed.
03:59Bear asks her, surprised, How did you suddenly decide to come to my house?

04:05Nicky starts crying, and tells him that both her parents are very sick, and her mom is in the final

04:14Seeing her tears, Bear is moved, and sits beside her on the bed.
04:18Nicky rests her head on his shoulder, growing closer to him.
04:21He has no idea what's really going on, and he's both stunned and scared.
04:25Right now, Nicky seems to genuinely love him, but suddenly her mood shifts again, as if the spell over her
04:31breaks for a moment.
04:32She looks surprised and serious, looks at Bear, and asks, What are you doing here?
04:37Why am I here?
04:38She pushes him away.
04:39Bear, confused, tells her that she's the one who insisted on staying with him, and that she's currently at his
04:45house.
04:45While he's still trying to process this, the spell takes hold of her again.
04:49She starts laughing strangely, like she's under a trance, and grows even closer to him that night.
04:54Bear can't fall asleep, because he remembers how he once broke the wishing stick, and he realizes all of this
05:00must be connected to that magic.
05:01If that's true, then Nicky doesn't really love him.
05:04This is just an illusion, and he's the one taking advantage of it.
05:07As soon as he wakes up the next morning, he starts researching the wishing stick online, but he can't find

05:13He's even more confused now, wondering how something causing all of this, could have no trace online.
05:19He starts to believe that maybe Nicky really does love him after all.
05:23Lost in this confusion, he follows her to the kitchen, and is horrified by what he sees.
05:27Nicky has performed a strange ritual using his dead cat's body.
05:31There's an odd symbol, drawn on the floor, and he doesn't even want to know what she did with the
05:37cat's remains.
05:38Bear is terrified, but he can't bring himself to say anything, because Nicky lovingly calls out to him,
05:43and the two of them go off to work together, as if nothing happened.
05:47Excited, Nicky tells Bear all about everything that's happened, and he goes to talk to Ian, about how Nicky has
05:52been staying with him.
05:53Bear then asks Ian, why he never mentioned that Nicky's parents were sick.
05:57Ian is just as surprised by the question, since as far as he knows, Nicky's parents were never sick at
06:02all.
06:03Ian asks who told Bear that, and Bear says, Nicky did.
06:06Ian tells him he has no idea what's going on, that Nicky's parents aren't sick,
06:10and that he's also confused about how she spent the night at Bear's place.
06:13Since she's always treated their group of friends like brothers, and never wanted to hurt anyone's feelings,
06:19which is why she never told him anything either.
06:22Hearing this gives Bear another huge shock, and it doesn't take him long,
06:25to realize that everything happening, is the result of that wishing sticks magic.
06:30It's becoming clear that the real Nicky, the one who actually loved him,
06:34isn't the one using magic to control him now.
06:36She's the one being used and manipulated, her feelings twisted by it all.
06:40He doesn't want any of this, and he wants to keep his distance from Nicky.

09:32Days pass like this, until Bear and Nicky attend a party at her place, to celebrate his arrival.
09:37Everyone is happy to see them together, since everyone knows how much Bear loves Nicky.
09:42But there's something strange that everyone notices.
09:44Nicky never really loved him, and was involved with someone else at the time.
09:48Watching her show this much affection toward Bear now, people start talking, gathering close and noticing how attached she's become

10:43She tries to get close to him again, but he keeps his distance, telling her, I'm done with you.
10:47I can't take this obsession of yours anymore.

10:51I'm taking you home, and you won't be staying at my place anymore.
10:54It doesn't stop there.
10:56Nicky gets furious after hearing this.
10:58She storms into the kitchen, and grabs a large knife, coming after Bear.
11:02Confused and trying to save himself, he stumbles and falls, but manages to find the words to plead with her.
11:08I'm not going anywhere, and you're not either.
11:11We're both staying right here, and I'll be with you.
11:14As soon as she hears this, she drops the knife, and her terrifying rage, suddenly shifts into affection.
11:20Bear takes her to a room, and she sleeps there all night, holding onto his arm.
11:24At midnight, once Bear sees that Nicky is completely asleep, he carefully gets up and sneaks out of the house
11:30to get Sarah, since she's been worried about him too.
11:32Once she's in the car, he tells her everything about Nicky's condition, before he can even mention the wishing stick.
11:38Nicky's eyes suddenly snap open, and she finds Bear gone from the house.
11:42Terrified, she rushes outside, and when she sees Bear with Sarah, she's consumed by jealousy.
11:48In that jealous rage, without thinking it through, she suddenly appears beside Sarah's car, and smashes the window.
11:54She grabs Sarah, and repeatedly slams her face against the steering wheel, until Sarah dies, leaving Bear no time to
12:01do or say anything.
12:02It all happens so fast, that he's left completely stunned, unable to even think clearly.
12:07He tries to run to save himself, but Nicky finds him anyway.
12:10After killing Sarah, she comes around to the other side of the car, and pulls Bear into an embrace.
12:16By now, he's exhausted by everything.
12:18He wants it all to end, but he can't find a way out.
12:22Finally, he decides to go back to the same shop where he bought the wishing stick.
12:26He tells the shop assistant the whole story, how he made a wish using the wooden stick, and how it
12:31completely backfired on him.
12:33He explains that he's desperate to get out of this, and needs a way out.
12:36She tells him, it's not that simple to undo a wish, once it's been made and granted, and that no
12:42one can reverse it.
12:43After thinking it over, they come up with one possible solution.
12:46Someone else, has to make a new wish on Bear's behalf, and that might fix things for everyone.
12:51Looking like just another ordinary stick, Bear buys it, and takes it to his friend Ian.
12:55He tells Ian everything about how the stick works, and that he needs Ian, to make a wish that would
13:00set things right for Bear.
13:02Hoping things can go back to the way they were.
13:04Ian agrees to help, and takes the stick, but then greed creeps into his heart.
13:08Instead of wishing for Bear's life to be set right, he wishes for himself to become incredibly wealthy.
13:13As soon as he snaps the stick, money starts raining down from above.
13:17Seeing this, Bear realizes his friend has betrayed him too, and that this wish won't fix anything.
13:22Broken and defeated, Bear comes home to find Nicky still in that same strange, terrifying state.
13:28Exhausted and afraid of everything happening around him, he finally remembers one last option.
13:35The shop assistant had told him, that if the person who made the wish dies, the wish ends along with
13:41them.
13:41He decides this is how he'll finally end it.
13:44For a few last moments, he holds his love for Nicky close.
13:47Then he picks up a gun, puts it to his mouth, and pulls the trigger, ending his life.
13:52The moment he dies, his wish is broken, and Nicky is finally freed from its hold over her.
13:57She comes back to herself, unable to remember anything that's happened to her over the past several days.
14:03She sees Bear's body lying in front of her, and breaks down, screaming and crying.
