After years of living between different worlds, Francisco Godoy faces the challenge of starting over. Far from his native Colombia and unable to return home, he searches for a new sense of belonging in the Netherlands. Along the way, he finds support and companionship in fellow newcomers Liu from China and Aleksandr from Russia, each carrying their own story of displacement and resilience. As Francisco grapples with his past, he unexpectedly finds direction in the puppet theatre he once left behind. In Their Hands is a documentary about loss, identity, friendship, and the search for a place to put down roots once again.
