00:00So is it safe to say, Mick, that this memorandum of agreement isn't final?
00:06What can happen from now and in 60 days?
00:09Well, essentially, a lot of nothing.
00:13I mean, this doesn't commit Iran too much of anything when it comes to the nuclear program.
00:17And that was the primary objective of the United States for starting the war.
00:22From what we've seen, again, we should wait and see the actual terms of the agreement when it comes out,
00:29because it could adjust.
00:30But what we've seen reported is Iran does not promise anything when it comes to its highly enriched uranium,
00:38turning it over, having it degraded, having it destroyed, none of that.
00:42It doesn't commit to dismantling their enriched or their capability to enrich uranium in their entire program.
00:50Yes, it does say that they will not seek a nuclear weapon, but they've said that since 2003.
00:56That's when the FATWA was issued that they would not seek a nuclear weapon.
01:00And they're members of the Non-Proliferation Treaty.
01:02So that was a restatement of something they've said many times, and the United States simply doesn't believe.
01:07I mean, that's why they have almost 1,000 pounds of enriched uranium up to 60%, far beyond anything necessary
01:15for a civilian program.
01:16So I think the big concern here is Iran is going to get a lot of financial relief,
01:21essentially for just opening up the street with very little commitments to do anything on their nuclear program.
