Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge Defends Questions to RSS, Says No One Is Above the Law
ಗೃಹ ಸಚಿವ ಪ್ರಿಯಾಂಕ್ ಖರ್ಗೆ ಅವರು ಆರ್ಎಸ್ಎಸ್ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥ Mohan Bhagwat ಅವರಿಗೆ ಬರೆದಿರುವ ಬಹಿರಂಗ ಪತ್ರದ ಕುರಿತು ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದರು:
"ಅವರಿಗೆ (ಆರ್ಎಸ್ಎಸ್ಗೆ) ಕೂಡ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಸಮಯ ಬೇಕಾಗಿರಬಹುದು. ಇದು 100 ವರ್ಷಗಳಷ್ಟು ಹಳೆಯ ಸಂಘಟನೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದು, ದಾಖಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುವ ಕಾರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇರಬಹುದು. ಆದರೆ ನೀವು ಉತ್ತರ ನೀಡುವುದನ್ನೇ ನಿರಾಕರಿಸಿದರೆ, ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಕೇಳಿರುವ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗಳಿಗೆ 'ಇಲ್ಲ' ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದಂತೆಯೇ ಆಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಆದರೂ ನನ್ನ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಲು ಬಯಸಿದರೆ, ಕ್ಷಮಿಸಿ, ಅದು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ. ನಾನು ಕಾನೂನಿಗಿಂತ ಮೇಲಲ್ಲ, ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಬೇರೆ ಯಾರೂ ಕಾನೂನಿಗಿಂತ ಮೇಲಲ್ಲ. ಕನಿಷ್ಠ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಂಘಟನೆಯ ವಿವರಗಳೇನು, ನಿಮ್ಮ ನಿಧಿಗಳು ಎಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಬರುತ್ತಿವೆ ಎಂಬುದಾದರೂ ತಿಳಿಸಬೇಕು." ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge commented on his open letter to RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, saying that the organization may need time to gather documents as it is a 100-year-old institution. However, he stressed that refusing to respond would be equivalent to rejecting questions raised by the government.
Kharge stated that any organization operating in Karnataka must function within the framework of the Constitution and the law. He emphasized that neither he nor anyone else is above the law and said that organizations should at least disclose their identity, registration details, and sources of funding. According to him, transparency and accountability are essential for any organization functioning in the state.
