00:00Thanks for doing this.
00:00Thank you for having me.
00:02Is this deal real?
00:03I think so.
00:04I think this is a significant achievement,
00:07but nothing is fully real until they manage
00:10to get to the final agreement.
00:12And we all already have a precedent
00:14in which we also see that when there was a final agreement,
00:18which there was in 2015 that Obama struck,
00:20it didn't mean that it necessarily would last
00:22because Trump walked out of that deal.
00:24So if this is something we want, we have to work at it.
00:27We have to work to keep it.
00:28These things are not part of the background
00:31that you can keep without putting any effort into it.
00:33And right now we're not even halfway to the distance,
00:35but this is an important development.
00:37So what are the key deal points as they're emerging
00:39to the extent we know now?
00:40Yeah, first of all, we don't know enough
00:42because at the end of the day,
00:43there's been just so many different versions
00:45that have been floating around.
00:46And some of them frankly do seem to be sabotage efforts.
00:50There's some of the hardline media in Iran
00:51that has been sending out these versions of the deal
00:54that I think deliberately we're trying
00:56to raise people's expectations
00:57in order to make the final deal look bad.
01:00And they're doing it
01:01because they're trying to sabotage
01:02the pehidari faction in Iran,
01:05super hardliners are dead set against it.
01:07In fact, there were protests that they organized.
01:10Let's not pass.
01:13There's a certain perception.
01:14Let us know.
01:14Let us know.
