02:00One of many interactions with him, and I was explaining the actual structure of the deal,
02:04you're familiar with it, I'm not surprised that the President of the United States doesn't
02:08follow every detail of every agreement that Canada has, and he likes the structure, actually.
02:14We had a follow-up conversation about it as well.
02:20We have to apply the lessons of recent events, and one of the lessons of deep insight, but
02:26it's important that we actually apply it, is diversification.
02:30Chokepoint it straight at four moves.
02:31We have all seen the impact, including on Canadians with higher gas prices, but more globally.
02:37So there's diversification within that region, new pipeline and other infrastructure, so
02:43not all energy is coming out through the strait.
02:46There is some of that, but there's not enough of that, so there's intention to build out
02:50a series of energy infrastructure there.
02:54Canada has the ability to do several things, and we're on the path to do several things,
02:59150 megatons of LNG by the end of the year.
03:09That is our collective understanding, that we want to have the deal done and move from
03:17that platform forward for his visit to Canada.
03:21So we're working hard.
03:22What we had said, and I'll finish here, what we had said at the outset of the negotiations
03:27at the G7 last year, is that we were going to launch these negotiations, and our intention
03:33would be to complete them by the G20 this year, which is in November.
03:38So that gives you a sense of timing.
03:41I think you might have rounded up to say it's 99 percent done, but we're making substantial
03:46progress, and we had a good discussion on some of the issues, the Prime Minister and I,
03:50when we met.
03:51So very constructive, and it's moving forward, and it's important.
03:53It's an important opportunity for Canada.
