00:00Oh, gosh, I'm from Derby, which is not as north as Manchester,
00:05but if I'd have grown up in the same area as the Gallaghers,
00:09then I probably would have ended up in Oasis,
00:11because we all like the same music,
00:12so I probably would have ended up in Oasis, which is a strange thought.
00:19I really don't know. Pavement would have been fun.
00:27They were just the right side of chaotic and kind of loose and expressive,
00:32and I used to like watching them play live,
00:35because they inspired me in a way that I didn't want to be so rigid in my playing
00:41and that I wanted to be a little more abstract and expressive,
00:44and the right notes didn't matter particularly,
00:47so I kind of, I sort of like, almost like not a jazz sort of approach,
00:53but almost getting towards that sort of sense of expression and freedom.
00:57I like when I used to watch Steve Monkman's play,
01:00and it's like, yeah, this looks good.
