00:00Big news coming in. Hyderabad likely to get an avenue, a road, a street and that could be called the
00:06Donald Trump Avenue.
00:07Now this could be near US consulate. In Hyderabad, we are informed in a move aimed at strengthening Hyderabad's global
00:15identity
00:15and highlighting global and growing international profile.
00:19Telangana government has planned to name a prominent road near the United States of America's consulate as Donald Trump Avenue.
00:27Now this area is called the Financial District in Hyderabad. Already Hyderabad is known as the high-tech city,
00:33attracts not just national but often global talent as well.
00:37The road located adjacent to the US consulate general in Hyderabad is expected to be formally inaugurated later this month.
00:43State government is likely to decide this as part of a broader initiative to name key roads, junctions, public infrastructure
00:49and institutions as much.
00:52So is this about India-USA-born homie? But considering this is coming in from the Telangana government,
00:58the state government is expected to communicate the decision to the MEA and relevant diplomatic authorities.
01:04Now whether or not there is going to be a protest against it, will someone say why Donald Trump Avenue,
01:09why not some other name?
01:10So let's go across to my colleague Bashir for the latest on that.
01:14Abdul, as you are telling us about what precisely is this decision, tell us more.
01:21Why Donald Trump Avenue? What is the government saying? What is the official announcement suggesting?
01:28Well, this government has brought in a strategy where in an attempt to name other roads in junctions with leading
01:36global corporations
01:37to have them contributed to the economic and technical development, the Telangana government has come up with this particular initiative
01:46wherein they are now naming the road adjacent to the US consulate here in Hyderabad financial industry as the Donald
01:57Trump Avenue.
01:58Now this is a decision that the talks have been done by the state government.
02:02That is what the sources have to say. There is a procedure to it where the embassy, the Indian embassy,
02:08foreign affairs ministry has to be involved.
02:11There are other delegates who will be consulted and then a decision will be taken on this naming of Donald
02:17Trump Avenue.
02:18But the state government is keen on this move.
02:20What they have to say is that the many junctions and places in the financial district or high-tech city
02:28will be in the future named with personalities such as Google Street, Microsoft Road, Wipro Junction
02:38and infrastructure will be named after industrialists.
02:41Ratan Tata also is what the talks are right now ongoing.
02:44Indian legendary entrepreneurs and apart from that, of course, for now, however,
02:50it's going to be a Donald Trump Avenue in Hyderabad.
